Heavy rain. Swam, mass by the time I came back roofers had fixed chimney and roof and cleared gutters. Art and started Lourdes painting. Lunch then to Keats House Hampstead Heath. An excellent tour. I have been to the Rome House and his grave. Sitting on bus at front buggy got on kid holding wet umbrella open which mother took off him. Guess who got wet? In depth discussion on Wagner with Stephen Fry and John Deathridge. It overran and had to rescue my bag from stage door. Super Philharmonia Prom. Webern went seemlessly into Mahler 10. Act 1 of Walkure great singing and playing. I dropped off and had to find place in miniature score! 

Missed swim again. Watered garden and cleared up. Very hot and sunny. Lovely day at South Norwood lake with  Louise Maher   Grainne Kedves-Constantinides . and the kids. Watched TV on Georgia O'Keefe and Olympics. Interesting talk on Brahms 4 and BBC Welsh played well - Walton Partita ideal for last night, Webern and Huw Watkins' cello concerto played by Paul Watkins lovely and want to hear it again! Thomas Sondergard conducted.

Swam 20. To mosaic and the green tiles are perfect for Mary's robe, did the orange sections and started on the gold. Cadogan for an excellent Prom Apollon Musagette quartet playiing lovey early Webern written as a love piece (very suitable for our 41st anniversary), Coln Matthews and Beethoven. Excellent lunch at Ask Italian Gloucester Arcade with Pimms - 25% off too! I went to see the Luxury and Indian and Burmese 19th century photos at V and A. Liz went to OLV and shopping.  Most interesting discussion of the trial of Oscar Wilde but my question was not broadcast! Wilde's grandson was there.  Bravo BBC Scottish and Donald Runnicles Triumphant Mahler 5! Much as we liked parts of James MacMillan's 4th symphony there was just too much going on! Had he been in the monastery enjoying the bells? Home to water garden and watch CBeebes Prom which Ciaran went to. Whitlow on middle finger of right hand still hurting a but. 

We had been told to be at the hall at 6 p.m. which meant we could not attend the pre-Prom talk. There were bag searches and then spent 90 minutes reading about. Judaism in my textbook. Freda and Ann chatty. Zubin Mehta celebrating his 75th year. The Webern Passacaglia with score was disrupted by a group singing Ode to Joy. The Bruch violin concerto was disrupted by people in the circle shouting who were removed by security with some difficulty. Gil Shaham played Bach encore. After the interval Albeniz Iberia could not start with more protests in the circle. Right below me an audience member went for a protester and people were shouting "Out". The order of pieces was changed so we got in a muddle having orchestral version of El Puerto and piano version for the other 2. There was even more shouting before Capriccio espagnol. We did not stay for any encores. It seems nobody was arrested! This was clearly a planned disruption and the broadcast was stopped as a result. It may hav...
