Ghastly weather but at least the buses were running although I just missed a 407 coming home! I played Peeters and Willan on Song 1 and Gigout Toccata. We sang David Ogden's "Christ has no body now but yours". It seems Andrew Chadney had over a 100 at Munch with music so the potential for an event on National Organ day is there.  With dinner we had a Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 from near Cape Town on special offer at Lidl for £2.50! Watched University challenge. First thing on reaching home trousers and socks changed! Watching Great pottery throw down. Keble College Oxford evensong featured Lennox Berkeley and Parry. No way am I driving to Christ Church Dulwich this evening for the organ recital in this weather!  At evensong Statham in E minor and Philip Ledger Loving shepherd of thy sheep. Frost on the car so running late. Only 16 lengths of the pool. Mosaic, Gigout and associates at St Michael Cornhill played by Anthony Gritten, collected my 4 framed pictures - they look terrific! Today's candle Bible passage Genesis 18 the oak of Mamre. Norwood circle 5 of us 8 visitors. Only 3 more meetings and I will miss January. I finally got to speak to Safe Passage and email from Lord Dubs' secretary. 

Swam 20, Mass. Petrol.It is hot. Good playing from David Price of Thailand (?) at St Michael Bedford Park. Excellent talk on Stonyhurst treasures. Interesting that Mary Queen of Scots prayed in Latin and knew 5 languages. Watched Thomas Quasthoff on lieder and Schonbrunn concert.

SS Peter and Paul played Peeters on Sine nomine, Moore on Aurelia, Titelouze on Annue Christe. Gigout Toccata went well at quite a pace! Crystal Palace station then Spectrum at St John's excellent wind ensemble. 21 at organ recital at St Michael's strawberry cream tea! At the station Count me in session with simple rhythms and saw Sue Carroll and Alan Thomas, Community choir sang a madrigal - it includes Duncan. Then to St John's Spectrum octet playing Faure, Massenet, Debussy and Mozart. Had a chat to Fiona about her paintings based on music and tried a new tea. David Wright did not speak and some of it was ponderous but 21 came and I spoke to him afterwards. Stephen and he both apologised. Nice cream tea and met the organist from Penge URC. Home and Liz came back from first Mass at Hounslow. Dennis came to Spectrum concert including Shostakovich, Sibelius, Holst, Mahler (not so good) and Camilla Jepesson singing Gershwin and the Blue Amen. Nice chat to Fr John. Not many...

Lz stayed home to cook the turkey. I played Bach, Ferguson and Easter preludes. It was Fr Paul's last Sunday and 51 came. It would have been sensible to do the presentation at the notices spot but instead they did it after the service. Nobody told me so I had to stop the Toccata. As this was the first time I was performing the Gigout Toccata I was not happy. I did take some photos. Carolyn and Paul were delighted by the Tabgha plate and there was wine and cake. Home for lunch and Dennis and Louise and the boys arrived. Did some sketching while they played in the sunshine. Got the garden mosaics out. We had turkey and Christmas pudding. At evensong the 3 of us sang Rutter and Stanford and enjoyed the Te Deum. Indian summers was good.
