Renewal Arts

Swam 20. Did the minutes of the Catenian meeting and started emailing about Cambrudge and the interfaith group Laudato Si' series in 2016. To local glass shop and got mirror for the mosaic frame for £15. Posted calendar and other items in West Norwood and got gold tiles. Served at Cathedral chapter Mass. Boys sang Faure Messe Basse and Parry and I was acolyte. Rebecca was there and Richard. Mr M said nothing to me! Tea and then to Initiatives of change for Renewal Arts on transforming power of the arts. June Boyce-Tillman was great and got us all singing. Jodie Marshall from Sheffield told us how theatre transforms kids. Kwame Reed spoke about poetry and drama against gang culture. It was inspiring! To Acton and Sean to Tamar. Renewed Watermans membership as the parking permit was not in the car. Sean seemed a bit off and at one point went in the lift on his own which upset him. He slept for ages. CiarĂ¡n loved the presents especially the Peruvian panpipes and animal items. Watche...

Conversations for the Soul

Only swam 18 as once again the pool was freezing cold! To Bethnal Green on Over ground and bus. Christian Muslim forum offices for conversations for the soul - there were 10 there. Met Omar who is a research fellow at Dialogue Society originally from Turkey. June Boyce-Tillman came late and she said she would ask at her interfaith planning meeting about getting the conversations going in Tooting which might be more convenient. Discussed personal God and God in the world. Finished talking about parenting and family relationships and teachers. To Museum of childhood and not impressed by the shop. Bought 2 more fridge magnets for mosaics in the Mission shop. To Acton on tube and bus. We went to music class with Henry. It seemed too old for the small children and Louise was shocked at £7 for half an hour compared to Tamar's £5 for 45 minutes. Quite wrong to talk about long and short instead of crotchet and quaver. Pitches shown on stave but everything sung on one note! Charging £12 fo...

Conversations for the soul

Still jet lagged - woke at 1 a.m. and did some reading. Liz was also up. To Bethnal Green Mission for Christian Muslim forum conversations for the soul led by Zahra who provided lunch as well. Met a Muslim lady Nabeela from Wandsworth,  Fr. Michael from St George in the East and Rev June Boyce-Tillman who is a larger than life character and a composer. Most interesting discussion on faith and society. Bought 2 calendars.  Shared a taxi to Old Street and collected car from Glyn Close. Took Bruce to Post Office - rather brought it home that he really is going. Watched Westminster Abbey programme and Young Apprentice. Have caught up on college work and emails and posting videos on Face book.
