Had a great chat to Peter and James Perkins. He is horn player in Royal artillery band and going to RCM. He is organ scholar at St Laurence. Dorio gave a lift to St Andrew Catford. I was dropping off but much enjoyed James playing Leighton and Howells Rhapsody in C sharp minor. I played Stanley Vann Cantilena (he is 100 this week) and Proulx Ave verum. Very satisfying - lovely clarinet and flutes and oboe. The Walker organ this morning was well designed - console in floor but tuning not good.
Bus to Lewisham and train and tube to Victoria. Got £20 meal from M & S. Fr Michael at Mass - Liz was late from taking Lou home so I had to wear my old organ shoes. Home to watch winter Olympics.
