Saturday

 Saturday had fruit and avocado for breakfast and slept better back not so bad. Walked wrong way along beach and eventually up to Russell-Cotes gallery which had amazing paintings and scultpure. Coffee on the terrace in sunshine. Then crazy golf in lower gardens Liz beat me. Back for tea and rest and watched lecture on avoiding purgatory in mediaeval period. Watched Beatrice and Eugenie. Had our prosecco before dinner. Steak and piddle pie, scampi for starter, white chocolate creme brulee.

Sunday a quiet morning Blackfriars, watched part of Bernie's ordination at Kingston and her first Mass at Balham and Fr John preached. Saw first part of Nelson's Bargue course. To Corfe Castle. The half mile walk from car to castle was a surprise but very pretty. Sketched. Cream tea at NT cafe abd bought a calendar. Swim. Smiked salmon, roast beef, ice cream for dinner. Singapore Grip was well done. #

Monday swim at 7.30 and had pool to ourselves. Walked to beach front and enjoyed the sunshine. Watched The social dilemma - really worrying. Frederick Stocken played Percy Buck at Cornhill.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
