Saturday super Nazareth boat ride on the Thames with Matthew Carter formerly of CAFOD from Kingston to Hampton Court. Loreto centre Sean Ryan on Paul excellent. Part of the Southwark ordination - nice music. Dinner which I cooked in garden. Liz did planting. Call my agent. 

Very hot! I woke up early and set off for church and got there at 8.30 only to find my keys were at home so waited for Carol to let me in. Result practice for 20 minutes instead of the hoped for hour! We practised the Greening Gloria and Shrine Mass II for next week and there was a cheer from the congregation at the news of singing hymns next Sunday. I also found the plugs had been switched off so another delay! We sang Brother James Air and Hurford Litany to the Holy Spirit and I played Harold Darke's Mediatation on Brother James Air and Sheep may safely graze which was Liz's mother's favourite.  Blackfriars Mass. Cleaned up back garden. Tommy Hewitt-Jones on Antiques roadshow with engine nameplate. 

Monday woke early hot again! Colette's zoom and my own short meeting about prayer outside the cathedral which looks like Sept 20. Richard Brasier playing at Cornhill. I am qite annoyed with people misuderstanding the letter. Balham chat and SMITF meditation. Very hot. Liz to UCM meal outdoors in Penge. 

Tuesday woke early. Second blood test - no wait. Blackfriars, SMITF. I fell asleep in the loungs - it's hot. I got the big fan out. Henry came and we watched NT at home "I want my hat back" which is very clever. Henry suddenly threw up. He had drunk a lot of water. He has his nursery graduation today. Essex group zoom. Quiet time eventually! Islamophobia zoom. Bake off. Only connect, University challenge.

Wed hot again and woke early. Blackfriars, SMITF,  Long chat to Ann. Meditation, Evensong from Selwyn college. Jane lead lovely GCCM prayers. Rowan in Leeds rewrote my letter in a much better way. Cooked delicious Middle eastern style pilaf. Dukkah spice very nice with roasted broccoli. Repair shop but sleepy.

Thursday hot SMITF and Blackfriars. Car gone for repair and a very nice hire car delivered. Churches conservation trust talk on church commissioners post war. Finished the Mantel - it is a masterstroke to have funny story so near the end. Fantastic Everyman from National Theatre at home. Call my agent.

Friday SMITF and Blackfriars. Doctor Ojo rang and blood test results are good liver down from 72 to 50 and cholestorol normal but stay off alcohol and oily food. Next test 6 to 8 weeks! He will look at my hands on Monday. He spoke to Liz as well. Opening of the Olympics. Ellie-May McGone playing at St Edmundsbury - lovely. Cooked deicious Chicken and mushroom crunble. NT at home Chewing gum dreams monologue by Michaela Coel, Call my agent. I broke up the half finished Van Gogh jigsaw! Too hard! 

Sat lovely Nazareth walk Horniman gardens. Blackfriars. Belmont Abbey on Face of Christ. Michael Barnes at Loreto centre . Vespers from Belmont. Dinner in the garden which was cool. Henry came. D and A out for 13th wedding anniversary. Watched Pavarotti in Hyde Park 1991!

Today's service was about singing and we had 5 hymns, Greening Gloria and Shrine Mass II. It was so good to hear everybody joining in. We sang Alleluyas of St James and I played Howells Psalm Prelude set 1 no 1 and Prizeman Songs of Praise toccata. Drove to Woking. The car is OK but not quite as comfortable as ours. I found my back felt like it was going to give in with the standing! Excellent guies Shah Jehan mosque Peace garden and Brookwood military cemetery. The American section was a surprise! Floods coming home via Epsom Downs. Very tired. 

Monday SMITF and Blackfriars. Took Liz to health centre in Croydon for breast screening. Parked outside on blue badge. To doctor - my leg is fine and referring me to Brigstock road clinic for hands. Met Liz at the lake and had an ice cream. John Thing rang. GCCM webinar on fossil fuels dull, Balham meeting was short. Only connect and University challenge. Triathlon from Olympics. 

Tuesdsay SMITF Blackfriars Noel rang - maybe repeat the Woking trip next year? Took Liz to Addsicombe to get items sharpened. Henry did not come as Dennis cut his foot. Dressage from Olympics beautiful. Excellent session with Ashley Beck on social media. Quiet time. 

Wed Dressage at Olympics also Rugby 7s, Fiji won. SMITF, Blackfriars, St John's. Meditation, Liz to scan. Our car is back so hire car was collected. Excellent LSI zoom at 7.
