Othello

 Tuesday swim and to cinema for NT Othello - fascinating production. A most enjoyable evening at Sutton Mid-Surrey Presidnets elect night my first foray into Province 19 apart from zooms. Excellent meal and I could hear at the meeting. The President Adrian Mann kindly picked me up from Kingswood station and took me back there. Home at 11.40. 

Wed snow! Rain later so took Liz to station to go to Guys. Wrote articles about Who is my neighbour? and April music.  2 X Father Brown. Nasty cold rain. SM and Lent group.

Thursday swim. Started jigsaw of House of Parliament which I won at UNACC raffle. Saw Dr Dossett - very nice. Ringworm on left leg, new stuff for verrucas, head will heal. The webinar from LSi was very American droning on! LSIUK meeting zoom did not start so set up a new one. Gresham lecture on the adversarial system of justice. Tina Beattie at SLN excellent. Apprentice and we lost Simba a real gent.

Friday swim CCT talk on Jane Austen and her sister. To two car bodywork repair centres (the third was hopeless). Around a £1000. Renewed LMP Friends membership and booking for Anna Lapwood took ages. No wonder the Fairfield Halls is never full! NT at home My generation about teenagers. Last Father Brown of the series improbable and 2 shootings. 

Sat SM Melanesian brothers in St James park and listened to the radio broadcast. Southwark Lent meditation. We went to St George's Beckenham. Sadly Darquise Bilodeau could not sing but we enjoyed the piano playing of Ronojit Bhuyan Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Scriabin and Shostakovich. I used my £20 loyalty vouchers at Beckenham bookshop to buy 3 books Ben Aaronovitch Rivers of London, Anna Mazzola The clockwork girl and Tim Marshall Prisoners of Geography. Sadly Santa Montefiore, Alexander McCall Smith or Greta Thunberg books not available. Coffee and pastries at Em's kitchen - delicious. Finally managed to book cheaper seats for Korngold Dead city at ENO! Listened to some of it on you tube. Played Bach and Walther at Streatham Hill. Canon Victor is coming on Good Friday!. Picturehouse for delciious basil and tomato soup and goats cheese and onion pizza until match over. Daphnis and Chloe BBC Scottish and BBC Singers - still appalled that they are to be cut.
