Isle of Wight.

Sunday was Harvest festival so we sang Thou visitest the earth and I played Peeters on Wir plufgen and Sumsion on Monkland. Jaimee was there in a black sparkly jacket and she was very chatty at coffee. I did not stay for Harvest lunch but picked up Liz. We headed for Acton and had a nice meal at Louise's.

Monday picked up Ann and Paul and stopped at Guildford cathedral for coffee and cake. Young organist playing! Portsmouth cathedral delighted to see the Creation tapestries which are exquisite and we missed them at Rochester. In the queue for the ferry an hour before the time and all went well. Tea at Quarr Abbey and bought a calendar. To the house in Seaview and it is ideal. Near the beach. Ann doing the cooking. Only connect and University challenge.

Tuesday to Lily's coffee shop as Liz needed medicine which we got later in the day. To Sandown beach and paddled. Ann had a swim. £2.10 to park and 20p for the loo! To Bembridge watermill NT - I didn't climb up but watched an programme about windmills. Tescos for shopping.

Wed to the Dell cafe at Puckpool - lovely view but overprices. To Osborne - sat in the garden and sketched. Got bus to Swiss Cottage and another bus to the beach for an ice cream. We joined English Heritage again. Long wait for bus back and crazy woman managed to get on our bus! Bought an owl for the garden. To Folly Inn overlooking the river and had delicious sea bass and chocolate brownie. AN excellent meal

Thursday back to Lily's and I got a flu jab at the pharmacy! To Mottistone garden NT which is lovely and tea and cake. On to the Needles and able to drive up to the Old Battery for disabled parking. £6 t park at Alum Bay so avoided that! To Freshwater bay and bought a little boat and calendar at the Lifeboat shop and had ice cream. Tescos for sea bass.

Friday set off at 8 to the ferry but it was delayed by 90 minutes! Eventually got to Portsmouth and drove to Marwell Zoo where we met Bruce. The train wasn't running so a long walk but a nice day and saw lots of antelopes liek bongo, situatunga, okapis, tigers, clouded leopard, giraffes, white rhinodid a sketch. To Iford and the house Belton Acre is superb can sleep 10. We had a wet room and disabled facility in downstairs room. Lou and Tom were there before us. Curry for dinner.
