A new week
Monday chat to Ann. Dennis came. It seems Clare had to come to the bank in Bromley! Swim and aerobics. Liz went for blood test in Purley. Deacon Ray's father died last night so I am landed with showing The Letter tomorrow night! I have been sent some links and I downloaded it from You Tube. Liz bought hard drive and USB so saved photos. She went to UCM. Only connect, Mastermind, Univ challenge, Mozart's story. Enjoyed Dear Octopus with Lindsay Duncan very much.
Tuesday 17th SM, S and B - Fr Rock was dreadful about Nain and a toasted cheese sandwich! Swim. Liz did not go to Guys trains cancelled. Filling at dentist. Quiet time. To Beckenham Jonny and Rosemary set up teh film and I downloaded it as a backup. Home for dinner and we both went. 20 came and all went well. Polish priest had moved the equipment but it all worked. Not really enough time for discussion. 7.30 was too late to start I think.
Wed slept in B. So no swim but in fact I did my activity for the day. To National gallery to see Hockneys with Piero. 7 at interfaith group and we discussed para of the Pope's message for the season of creation a very rich document. Shut Pauline up at one point as she went over time and was way off subject. Liz picked me up at Streatham Common as she had collected Henry. We were about to start drawing when he suddenly said we would do it next time and Dennis had arrived. Imagine my surprise when I came downstairs to find they had both gone. I cried off FTIC because Henry was coming and missed SM service. Watched part 2 of Young musician auditions - the formula is quite wrong. To Catenians and sat with Damian and William. I felt hot at end of emeal so came home.
Thursday swim and art. Liz went to physio at Guys. Cleared a lot of emails. Organists committee on zoom. I only agreed to arrange one visit! Exc talk by Fr Josh on Laudato Si' SLN. Olly Murs who do you think you are was about Latvia. Very interesting.
Friday swim and Liz met Louise at station for coffee. Fire brigade did not come to fix battery in alarm. We went to Bethlem gallery interesting displays and unusual art. Scoop.
Saturday Liz went to Sacred heart school reunion. St Mildred Addiscombe has a fine Nicholson West organ. Richard and Warren very friendly tea and cake. Got home before match crowd. To Mass. Althorp programme. Watched most of a Right royal scandal with Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew.
Sunday played Lloyd Webber on Holyrood and Peeters Lasst uns erfreuen. Sang Hurford Litany to the Holy Spirit. Jaimee 30 so nice cake. Grow meeting OK. Collected new case from Argos. Jigsaw. Call my bluff. Victor Borge, Antiques roadshow.
Monday was a different day. To Lambeth Palace for Christian Muslim forum in a marquee as the building is being renovated. The loos were at the entrance which meant that I missed some discussion. 3 excellent speakers on the far right and Ed Kessler on migration. Abp of Canterbury spoke well. Tea and cake. Damian, James, Amir, Bishop Paul, David Evans. David was also in the Garden museum which had a nice Bloomsbury exhibition. Tate Britain members room and cafe. Read Tablet. Nina was at St Martin's. William Dalrymple a dazzling journey around India and its influence. Alan Gadd there but he left very quickly. Exhausting. Only connect and University challenge.
Tuesday dentist £319 is total cost of 4 sessions. She cut my lip but it healed up quickly. Swim. Liz to physio. No quiet time as waited for GP to ring about end of life wishes. Saw end of Right royal scandal. Copied music for Paul Miller. Recorded two songs for Saturday on piano. NT Underdog the other other Bronte excellent. Marilynne Robinson on Genesis from St Paul's.
Wed getting ready to go away. Haircut. Swim. To the drome to hear Simon Johnson - a rather heavy programme especially finishing with the Reubke. The Bach was very thick. A good audience.
