Holocaust

 Sunday the Bishop did not preach but she presided for the second part. I was not mentioned at all so I told the Bishop I was looking for another post at coffee. We sang 'Twas in the moon of wintertime" and I played Walther on Jesu meine Freude, Bach In dulci and Pachelbel Von himmel hoch. Imogen very sad. There was a match so I picked up Liz. Cleaned behind chest of drawers in bedroom. Black marks on wall - hopefully not damp. Call the midwife and Pottery throwdown.

Monday Holocaust memorial day. Ann rang. Liz went to funeral of Sonia's Mum. To Town Hall. Oasis Academy did well, address by Professor of piano and a Syrian refugee. Philip Pond was disappointed at no prayer. Fr Tom was there. Met police inspector, John and cantor from Shirley synagogue. Afternoon event from Auschwitz with 50 survivors and in the evening Guildhall event. Last musician in Auschwitz explored music in the camps. University challenge and Only connect. A memorable day. 

Tuesday swim. Liz went to dentist and front tooth fixed. She was late back so I did not go to quiet time instead had a rest. Excellent series on Charles I. I had a sleep in the afternoon. Dennis rang and I helped Sean with his RE homework. Charles I part two. Inside the factory printing works. 

Wed swim and Liz went back to Nationwide without success. Tried to sort out sounds in car and fixed all seat belts into position. Sisters of Sion Ed Kessler was fantastic. Lovely meal at Sophie's in Soho and loved Fawlty Towers at the Apollo theatre. Not ideal with steps and loos in the basement. The walk to Charing Cross really tired me. But the show was hilarious.

ThursdayAerobics and swim. I did not go to art - woke late. Decorations of the main tree, 

Friday No swim both went to Unacc and had a delicious lunch. They need us to eat there if it is to stay open. Father Brown. Christmas tree down. Dennis took it upstairs as we had to collect Henry who had a temperature. 

Sat Feb 1 To Bromley reform synagogue CCJ and deaf community visit so it was packed. The kids are very much involved. Good exhibition downstairs. Death of England new production NT. Timothy Radcliffe on becoming a cardinal. Fantastic Ripon cathedral Candlemas. 

Sun Feb 2 Candlemas. Played Bach and Moore. Muddleup over the start and did not know uniformed organisations were to be there. We sang Shera Nunc Dimittis. Chat to Margaret. Taken to lunch at Boundary on the Green and lovely gifts from the choir. Roast pork and chocolate brownie. Had a sleep. Evensong Moore, Tallis, Bramma. I told Lionel I could not hear the organ well. Could not hear the readings either. Call the midwife, Pottery throwdown. Cribs all put away. 

Monday chat to Ann. Swim and aerobics. Sent invite for Burton's tomb visit. Only connect, University challenge, Mastermind, Go back to where you came from might change some minds! 

Tuesday woke at 4 and 5 to go to loo. SM and S. Swam 16 just felt tired so rang for GP phone appointment. Quiet time and discussion on the Holocaust. Interesting zoom on Interfaith week. Final part of Charles I.

Wed Lix to Guys face to face with haemotologist. Did not go for a swim as I got engrossed in Paul Murray's Skippy dies and finished it. Sisters of Sion .Margaret on Jubilee.

Thursday took Liz to Bell House Dulwich for course on dyslexia. Dennis has a job! To art and good work on the horses. Aerobics (Barbara going to Thailand until March) swam 14. Came home and had a sleep for half an hour. This is very unusual on a weekday - it's happened on Sundays. The Apprentice was good. Travelling auctioneers and repair shop. 

Friday both went to Unacc and a nice lunch and chat. Miserable day. Father Brown. 

Saturday took Henry and Dennis to St Bartholomew Norbury for first communion parents Mass and meeting. It was all a bit too long with a tour of the church for 52 kids and parents! Watched rest of Carmody's talk, Thanksgiving Mass for Cardinal Timothy and England: Delroy from BT. Brilliant acting. Started deleting documents from laptop. Finished The Tablet - nothing on TV.Exc sermon by Rowan for Dean Robert Willis service.

Sunday diversion and 2 lots of lights. Played the wrong Gloria this morning! Played Flor Peeters Canzona and Ciacona. The service was 90 minutes very long talk about the hearing clinic which ironically I could not hear on the loop! Ursula Jones on Radio 3 private passions fascinating choices and she knew so many famous musicians.

Liz at messy church. I slept for an hour perhaps as a result I was awake Monday morning for 2 hours! Call the midwife addressed racism very well. Pottery throwdown Miss Austen.
