Going North again

 Wednesday July 1 swam 10 in slow lane. One guy swam into a lady - he was on his back. Just too many people in the water! To Beck Meth to practise and saw David. Have more dates. To Bathroom suppliers and finalised our choices. Liz for hair cut. Wimbledon. David Hockney interviews. 

Thursday to Sunday. The journey up went OK and we went via Brixton in the end. Train very crowded. The airbnb in Queen Street is lovely. To Aldi to shop and watched Wimbledon and Outrageous, 

Friday bus to Preston, A fascinating visit to Preston to meet the diocesan environmental lead Stephen Garsed. His house is remarkable and very green. His parish has Pope Francis quotes on the walls. Ladyewell is old fashioned but has lots of treasures about the martyrs.

Sat to Lancaster cathedral for the diaconal ordination of Paul Briers with 2 others. Singing and organ good. Bishop gave a good homily. Tea and coffee in the social centre. Liz was given a lovely engraved vase. Two buses to Lancaster castle a steep climb. Tour of 2 prisons and Georgian court rooms! To Print room for tea and cake. Uber back to the house.

Sunday Lancaster priory (good choir and organ, sermon too long, poor coffee!) Judges lodgings (museum of childhood, lovely Gillows furniture) Lancaster city museum (so much to see!) excellent lunch at Merchants 1688. Train back journey from 4.45 to 9.15. Dennis and Henry were watering th garden. Liz got off bus too early. Shower and bed after unpacking. Another heatwave!

Monday chat to Ann, swim, got 3 more door keys done (took a long time as one man was trying to do it all and people kept interrupting him! Too hot to go to Beck Meth. Washing done. WImbledon was great and Arthur won! Only connect.

Tuesday very hot again. No swim as Reece and companion only arrived at 11. Went over everything and Liz changed the shower. Did not go to meditation or supervision zoom. Organists committee in Adrian's garden which was shady. Could not hear a lot of it and Norman just went on and on! Wimbledon was great Only connect final, Keeping up appearances.

Wednesday another hot one. To Shirley's funeral at woodland chapel Bluebell cemetery Sevenoaks. It was quite lovely. Eats at Three Bells Chipstead. Home at 3.30 missed Henry's art at school. Wimbledon but fell asleep. All pictures down in the hall - there are so many. Coats taken upstairs. Arthur Fury won again. CCA Zoom.

Thursday another hot one. To TH clinic and ear wax removed. Found wax in tube so now can hear with both ears again. Swam 14. To Beck Meth but U3A meeting so came home. Last bits of clearing up. 3rd talk on Al Mizan was good
