Sept 1 woke at 4 dream about conducting evensong from an organ loft with wrong music. Carols practice with baby Louise! B and S (start of the Southwark conference). Swim. Art and nearly finished the music painting. Cheltenham with Sr Margaret. Day 1 of Season of creation. Liz at gym. Launch from Rome ecumenical was excellent. Yew tree music and whales! Cooked kebabs. Chamber music prom. Scottish Laity network Nellie McLoughlin very good. 

Friday SM. 9am swimming with Henry and Dennis. Liz spoke to Ann. Hen party is tomorrow. To Unacc. S part of the conference. B. 

To Bacons college Rotherhithe to help on the Spidir at Southwark diocesan conference. Good to see Daniel Trott and Berni Excel. Played for Mass for Season of Creation at Farm St and great to meet so many I only know from zoom! I was tired walked a lot!

Henry and Dennis came to Caterham and Henry had a go on the organ. It was a service of the word led by Sarah. An excellent meal at the Verdi and Berlin Phil prom with Daniel Harding brilliant control in Bruckner 4. The Schnittke viola concerto did not come over well.

Monday swam and UNACC which turned into mindfulness which seemed to be all about one's self! Stretches to follow. Aquarobics was pretty intense. Liz had a meeting servers council.

Tuesday swam at 9. Liz on phone for hours as a result of an Amazon hack. Got her phone cleaned as well, Hearing clinic was cancelled. Delivered posters to South Norwood library and Sainsbury's and did invites. Chat to Essex folk. Chineke's Be 9. Quiet time and 2 new people. I met Colin outside the library this morning and I also mentioned mindfulness. Posters to Sainsbury's Methodist church and Upper Norwood library. Convinced the manager not to charge me £2.50 to put it up as it is not commercial!. Fake or fortune and Repair shop.

Wednesday both swam. Liz to Guys. To Mary Sumner House Tufton St for launch of new report on faith communites and councils. Networking - Harriet Crabtree said I looked more relaxed. Tom Castle from Bishops conference. The hall is not disabled friendly. Liz was very late getting back but we got to the Chancery by 7.20. Good meal very filling. Ian le Grice spoke well as did the Vicar of Bromley. Alas we were at the far end of the table so I did not hear everything. Paul Brough was good company.

ThursdayTo funeral of Ian Golds which was beautiful. We sang Byrd Mass for 4 voices and Taverner Kontakion also the Russian kontakion. Lovely chat to Fr Mark from the Ukrainian cathedral and David who used to come to quiet days at the cathedral. Took Derek Cooper home to Shirley. 17 at animators zoom incl Joseph and the de Quay brothers. Told Clare about C and W. The Queen died - sad day for all of us and the end of an era. Scottish Laity network Joseph and James Buchanan from Operation Noah on divestment. It is a disaster that Jacob Rees-Mogg is business secretary. There is even talk of fracking! oklet. N

Friday feeling very sad and did not go for a swim. B, SM and S the Dean spoke so well. To St John's for a lovely requiem at 10 a.m. and we sang God save the King for the first time. To Unacc for coffee and to show the service booklet. Not in the mood for exercises! TV coverage all day. Zoom with Wendy about Theos project on death and dying was good. Chat to Mick on zoom. The St Paul's cathedral service at 6 included King Charles's speech. The choir was excellent. Finished reading "The Sun sister".

Sat SM from Queen's college Birmingham with Angela. S and B. Watched the accession council and the proclamation. Public speaking heat invites sent. Quotes for letter to Jacob Rees Mogg. To Mass at West Norwood Fr Emmanuel's last and he sang a few hymns one verse only.
