Wed no swim again! Supervision session. To the Abbey for London Faith and community awards. A lot of speeches and got cold. Canapes in nave but could not stand too long. 

Thursday no swim again! To art and touched up Liz's portrait - it had stuck to another picture! Finished Sean's present. Cheltenham prayer with Francis in Zambia. 23 at LSi' zoom and a lively discussion. Cooked Indonesian chicken curry and rice. CAFOD seminar on COP27. Act 3 of Theodora. 

Friday no swim! To UNACC only 7 in class. Dr Roberts rang beforehand and asked me to come round so he could look in my left ear. The cream and spray arrived this afternoon! Mick came - first time for 2 years! Bake off extra slice. Worked on Christmas letter. Grayson Perry lecture. I wish he would stand still - keep losing the sound!

Sat SM at Selsey Bill with nephew Jack 18. Christmas carol choices and Dec music list. Hurtado was good and Liz joined. To Salvation Army Sustainable hub and well-attended. Pleased to see Dennis. Advent 1 at Streatham Hill and Liz served. Cooked - top of pepper fell off so I found the food very hot! Strictly. The  Crown. The timing of this episode is not good. 

Advent Sunday played Willan on St Stephen, Rowley and Peeters on Conditor alme, Creator of the stars of night arr Scott. Lynda cried off again - daughter ill. Practised RVW carols. Monday another restless night so woke late. Swim but too many crammed in 2 lanes. I did do my 20 and Liz went to Pilates. School still looking for a Santa! To St Pancras but framers closed. The Crown episode about Diana and Philip. Balham Catenians fish and chips arrived too early but it meant I got away with Richard Pyatt early. Provincial President John Chadwick from Esher. It's unrealistic to ask for more visiting. Distance and cost. Only connect and University challenge. 

Tuesday no swim as Liz went for X ray. Tried to find framers in Clockhouse Road so ended up at Beckenham Gallery 17 who were very helpful. The cost of framing the Dubai piece is too high so we will just hang it as it is! New TV stand with drawers came from Reeves - look lovely. Also board for crib background. To quiet time. Liz to Norwood. Caught up on emails and postings for Christmas. Rowan Williams lecture. Rosemary rang. The Crown Dodi. 

Wed another poor night. No swim. S. St Andrew. Took rocking horse back to Clare. Dentist said loose denture needs a new one (it was always temporary). Filling to be done by somebody else! New set cost £280 which is a shock! Rearranged appointments. Put up Dubai item and the London picture Liz gave me in the loo. Speakers now upstairs. Carmody Grey talk. LSi meditation. Thursday no swim again! Art and finished painting of parrot. Booked for AgeUK Christmas lunch which is free! Gave out Christmas cards. Liz at gym. Churches conservation trust lecture on parish boundaries in South Downs - did not know much about 19th century tithing! Hans Zollner talk from Nov! Moved stuff from our bedroom ready for tomorrow. So pleased AM was in touch and we are going to the Nativity on Tuesday. The whole business has caused great upset and distress. Rosenkavalier Act 2 very well done. Cooked creamy rigatoni. Friday swim. Carpets laid and look great. Liz's study has vinyl. We both went to UNACC and I did exercise while Liz went to Beavers to get vinyl for the bathroom.
