Monday chat to Ann (going to Melbourne. Liz gone to pack servers medals. Four meetings in a day - just too much! Spidir committee, Bp John Arnold at Southern dioceses environment group. Dreadful speaker at Phoenix centre. Lord High Sheriff at Faiths together in Croydon at town hall. Only connect, University challenge, Go back to where you came from.
Tuesday Liz went for infusion. She has anti-sickness tablets this time. Swam. Quiet time. A most interesting CCJ meeting at Catford synagogue about Our Street Lewisham community opera. Fascinating that it was an opera. The director who worked at Covent Garden was amazing!
Wed wrote to Ms Crowley and she replied. GP rang blood test on 26th. We both went to Beckenham Methodist and we had a
nice lunch there. Took 2 more decanters to Hospice shop. Sisters of Sion on Jewish pilgrimage. CCA meeting. Contacted Louise.
Thursday Ms Crowley will only answer questions to Liz's email! Took Liz to Dulwich. Art and sketched new horse picture. Aerobics Morgana too loud and too fast. Did not swim as went to dentist for 2 but the appointment is next month! Had a sleep. Changed blood test date - took ages to get through on phone. Repair shop on the road.
LSIUK zoom I tried saving the transcript but it was actually more work than taking notes at the meeting! Apprentice was good.
Friday St Valentine's. To Mayday for blood test at 9. To UNACC the film was Hampstead which I had requested. Good lunch. Louise came over which was so helpful. Moved the table and lamps back to the lounge. Minutes of meeting done from transcript which actually took quite a long time!
Sat 15th. Beautiful evensong at St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood in memory of Geoff Laurence including some of his compositions Stanford in G and Finzi Lo, the full final sacrifice. Nice to see Carl Jackson. I informed Susanna Martin that I had not sung the Finzi before and she said Oh yes you have you sang it with Cantemus and Carl played! Watched Waitress musical part 1. LIz fell off chair. She is OK. She was trying to get a hot water bottle. We do have a ladder. Seems we saw the show on Broadway!
Sunday 16th my last at Caterham. Lovey that Ben came to sing. Chilcott Be thou my vision went well. I played 2 Darke pieces, Willan on Carlisle and Dubois Toccata. Presented with a lovely olive tree and card. Lynda made a cake with a piano and musical items on it. Drinks and nibbles. More stuff brought home! There will be more gifts when we go back for lunch. Liz went to evensong. To New North London synagogue for a fascinating evening about trees. Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg, Revd Matthew Duce, Amir and a lovely song about trees. Good to see old and new friends. William, Colette, Dominic, Danuta, Giles. Met Revd Matt Duce who is married to Cath. Took 1 and a half hours via Kentish Town and 2 buses. Coming back got off at Archway unfortunately walked a bit far then bus to St Pancras. Home at 10.45. Tired!
Monday parked at NJ. Played Moore at St Bride Fleet St enclosed Compton like Downside Abbey. Bus to Pret near Cornhill. D'Arcy Trinkwon played Liszt, Karg-Elert and Widor 6 - pianos were all loud! Jonathan told us a lot about the church and the musicians - I had forgotten Boyce was there for 30 years. I sat in choir stall where I used to stand in 1973 and played two Darke pieces. Been waiting a long time to do that! Songs of Praise on choral singing featured Ken Burton and the Huddersfield choral society but we ended up with soloists! Asylum Green Party group. Only connect, Univ challenge, Pottery throwdown. The mystery of the hymnbook on the floor at church solved. Organ club visit Sat am. Mysteriously I was not asked to come and play for them. The Dubois copy must have been mine! I heard about the visit thirdhand. Judith informed me.
Tuesday awake in the night 3 times. To All Saints supervision group went well and given a bookmark from Assisi. To Memory clinic and saw OT - not good. Rang Louise and Bruce. Stacey and Great British menu.
Wed to Mortlake - missed first train as had to find parking near Selhurst. Dr Helen Brown showed us Burton's tomb and Fr Adrian gave us a comprehensive tour of St Mary Magdalen RC church. Back to station and got a coffee. The others missed the train to Putney and I got 93 bus to Calonne Road. We all gathered by 2.15 there were 8. The monk gave us a lot of information and there was interesting discussion about after death. Tea and biscuits back in the house. GP pharmacist rang about blood test results cholestorol is up again not as much as last time. .7 above what it should be so they sent statins. Still not sure about taking them. To Wimbledon and back to Selhurst. To Catenians and had pork loin. Only 10 there.
Liz very cross about the report. Thursday to art and completed the white horse. Did not go for swim as it is half-term. We both went to Bridget Jones Mad about the boy which we enjoyed and it cheered me up. Liz went to GP surgery patient group. Root and branch Catholic women strike zoom. Wrote to Rabbi Jonathan, Joanna Bogle and Fr Patrick. Apprentice was good and Nadia has gone!
Friday more upset from Liz. To UNACC and felt tired. My knee was hurting. Lovely lunch - lemon meringue pie. Took Liz to Owens to have wax out of left ear. Bernie brought the Golden wedding photo book. It is fantastic and something to treasure! SM retreat online. Edie's birthday. Wrote a report of our visit on Wednesday. Start of SM retreat on Facebook. Richard on the heart so good!
