Wednesday not a good night. Up at 6.30 and left 7.30. Arrived St John Fisher Bexleyheath at 8.40 so plenty of time to try the Makin. Rather odd pedals controlling all 3 manuals volume so set them and left them alone. All went well and the choir sang the Sands very nicely. Of course everybody sang really well. Nice eats and lovely to see brothers I have not seen for years! It was very touching that his son said they did not say goodbye to John as he went very quickly. Motor neurone disease. A week before he died hewas singing in the choir and fixing gutters! What a loss! Anne was clearly delighted we took part. We were home by 2.30. B. Had a rest. To my delight he played the piano quietly picked up Tuba tune score and started singing a song we made up. When D and AM came from the cinema he sang again! We watched the opening of the Commonwealth Games from Birmingham. The bull was most impressive. Some countries I had never heard of!
Friday swim, Bm SM and S took leaflets to South Norwood library (Aldi has no board) and Unacc. Paid my £20 annual sub and enjoyed Triniti's session. Funeral of Fr Donnelly from Newcastle cathedral.
