Medtner

SM walk  Golders Hill park. B and S. Excellent recital of Nikolai Medtner at SJAlexander Kapreyev and Natalia Lomeiko. The violin sonata was fiendishly difficult and she played it superbly. Collection for Ukraine. Worked on jigsaw. 

First Sunday of Lent played Demessieux on Attende Domine (new to me) we sang Hear us O lord and Lasceux Fugue in G minor. AJ won pottery throw down. Jigsaw completed - tricky to the end. Lovely evensong at SJ Walmisley in D minor, Wesley Wash me throughly, Purcell Miserere. Richard Pilliner was playing. 

Monday swam 20. SM, B amd S. Liz to gym cleaned up and got stuff out.. Nice flowers came. Dennis came with me to King's on the bus and we saw Dr Creamer who was so nice. He said the moles on my back were not a problem and treated my hands with liquid nitrogen. We were early and back very quickly. Prof Mullan on coincidence in the novel. Adrian and Terence came for dinner. It was a delightful evening. Liz cooked a delicious meal. 

Tuesday. LMP coffee morning at Fairfield Halls.Went on the bus. Met Julie. Adrian and Terence were there. Excellent talk on Sir Arthur Bliss with lots of videos and recordings. Julia Jones was delighted that I brought my Bliss Fanfares organ score. I must have got Bliss's signature in 1975 on his last visit to the Albert Hall Proms. Liz went to Crystal Palace park. A lovely day. Read John's Lent book. Could not get into  quiet time. Bridget will play on Sunday. I have plasters covering the blisters on my fingers. Oliver Twist from Leeds playhouse very well done. A female Fagin! 

Wed nice chat to Ann and Clare. Liz all day at Guy's. To St Mark Woodcote. Robert Finegan saxophone and Tia Ling piano. Unusual composers. Still, Beamish, Decruck, Caplet, Yoshimatsu. NIck King at Sion on John's gospel. Misha and the wolves fascinating. SMITF Bread for the world and Lent group.

Thursday woke late. Liz to gym. Gresham lectures on Protestant churches and slavery and Entrepeunership and innovators  in local economies. Beko seated tai chi. A sobering animators meeting with Magda telling us about her work for refugees in Poland. One finger oozing blood. 

Friday Lent group only 4 of us but a good sharing. Progamme on Indian newspaper run by women. SMITF Tea. Southwark group was good. Guards programme and Crufts.
Sat Henry is 5. Nazareth walk in Holland Park and good sharing session. Henry came to get his present.
