Broadcast from St George's chapel, Windsor BCP eucharist but with Missa de angelis! Why no BCP settings? Coulsdon went really well and it was a good idea to move the hymn form the gradual to after the sermon. We sang "This joyful Easteride" and "Christians shout for joy and gladness" at communion and I played Howells Saraband for the morning of Easter. Compliments about Cross of Christ. To Hammersmith pub Dartmouth castle for excellent lamb with Louise, Tom, Ciarán, Helen, Gary and Beany. We took them home and then came back home with Lou and Ciarán who kept awake the whole way home. Lovely Easter from King's on TV and Antiques roadshow. Aled Jones on "The choir" featured youth choirs.

Just listening again to The Choir with Aled Jones discussing new carols. The decorations at work and home and now all up - it does take ages but looks good. I went back to see Dr Ojo and he gave my knee the all-clear. I got my spectacles fixed for £2 at Clapham Junction opticians on Monday - the lens had fallen out 3 times! Now going to work on the Holy Land blog and an article based on it.

Deane Yates, Rob Baillie, Mike Matthews, We actually arrived at the club at 10 p.m. Unfortunately driving in the dark I had not realised that Harrow Road was now called Joe Slovo drive and turned into Yeoville. We passed St Aidan's and the Catholic church (both barricaded) and Fortescue Road with potholes and plenty of "urban decay". Eventually we returned to the mian road and reached the college without a problem. Our cottage was comfortable and very convenient. We enjoyed a kuhlau before retiring. I had a horrid dream about buying a house and seeing a man in a tree and insisting on going out while Liz said stay inside!On the plane I had seen much of "Earth" based on "Life on earth" and listend to Aled Jones! Thursday 11th. Rob Baillie swept us up after lunch for a whistlestop tour of the college and I played the chapel organ for 30 minutes - it is a fine Cooper Gill and Tomkins job from 1972 in memory of Noel Iverson who never wanted an orga...

Easter Sunday and the organist pulls out all the stops to catch that feeling of triumph! At Coulsdon we sang Haydn's little organ Mass St Johannis de Deo, This joyful Eastertide and the Celtic Alleluia! At the end I played Herbert Howells' Saraband for the morning of Easter. I see there is a Howells on My Space! Picked up Grandma and drove to Acton for lunch at Louise and Tom's - delicious belly of pork and chocolate pudding. Bruce joined us and Liz came straight from the cathedral where the choir sang the Vierne setting. Unusual for us to miss evensong or vespers but we were both tired out. Watched Aled Jones on TV learning to play the drums!
