Diana Mills

Swim, Mass, coffee, visited John at hospice and Sidney and Roger were there. Gave a tour of the cathedral for Council of Christians and Jews. Diana Mills gave an excellent talk on Amos trust in Palestine. Catriona joined us. Watching Repair shop. 

Servers Mass

To SGI Africa event and excellent banners about Gandhi and peace . UCL event Gandhi quizzes and interesting copying ritual research on autism and reactions to thinking about power and control. Made a badge. Made me feel happy and contented with my life. Love is more important than having power.  2 masses at the cathedral ; the Cardinal celebrated National servers Mass and gave a great homily about icebergs. I looked after offertory and Liz the readers.  Rebecca was everywhere and she was supposed to be sacrstan! I sorted out some poor quality cassocks and cottas were said by her to have been washed 3 weeks ago - they look so dingy. Fr Tony spoke about Missio and South Sudan - he knows Frank Savage and Diana Mills who was there. Watched Bad habits and lost masterpiece. 

Iftar

Birthday of St John the Baptist big day in Florence. Prayers for all being ordained today.  Daniel Trott , Carlos, Micky, Gareth.  Excellent session on radicalisation with Rashid Ali and  Damian Howard  at Hurtado. William Rhind was there. At Whitechapel gallery a film about a marble column rather intriguing. Rest of the work unimpressve. Had caperberries in tomato salad.  Jeremiah Stephenson played well at Bloomsbury Baptist but modern piece very weird and one registration fluff in Alain.  Fr  John at vespers and Mass for Birth of John Baptist who is his name saint. I am John the Evangelist.  At big iftar Hyderi mosque Streatham. Adrian and Diana Mills spoke well, also a Jewish journalist and deputy from MCB. Less impressed by Palestinian woman on Prevent. Met Rupert Sutton again and William was there, also David Sutton. 

Rumi

Woke early and wrote an article for the Catenian provincial newsletter so only swam 18. To art and finished the Monet Poppies picture. Picked up Liz and to interfaith lunch - a large turnout so not much food left. Prem and his daughter were there from Chennai and Ken and Diana spoke about Sharing Perspectives. We were lucky - they never got to Hebron and Al Aqsa mosque. Home but workman never came to quote. Dropped into St John's but vestry locked so cushion still there. The tenor who sang in Messiah was rehearsing at the piano. To Meditatio for superb Duncan Mackintosh on Rumi. Good to see Graeme Watson and Briji. 

Busy day

We both went to Seán's nursery for the Christmas lunch and the excellent magician Mr Carl and Santa. I went to Hinsley room and the end of the guides talk by Canon Christopher on the Year of mercy and eats. 18 came to hear Diana Mills and Amos Trust films and photos. Lively discussion. Got home and changed as Brendan had come. To joint Blackheath and Swanley meeting at Chislehurst golf club. Meeting about Kirkham cup and sorted it all! 

Knead for Peace

Swam 24. To mosaic and finished the elephant and started drawing the border design. Others were grouting. Hendrika took tai chi. Home for lunch and Liz had been for a haircut. To St James Piccadilly where I met William Rhind and Diana Mills. Downstairs are several large rooms and we enjoyed mixing and kneading the dough. A couple from Cambridge and met everybody.  Ended with a nice supper and a ciabatta loaf to take home.
