To Kensington Chimes shop and the hall to get seat ticket (first in queue). RGS Travel photographer of the year - excellent photos. Hakan Hardenberger played Birtwistle and PMaxwell Davies Sinfonia - both composers are 80 and were present. Incredible trumpet part but neither work is pleasing in any way! The house is now a delightful cream colour - first coat done today. It was warm but not too sunny. Liz did all the stuff on the ladders but I managed on the small ladder and it is now easy to get out onto the back roof through the new window. Vincent Coggin was due to sort out the organ today but he never eang with the time of his arrival so still have not met him. Monday 27th back to work. Excellent Prom at lunchtime Susan Graham singing French songs - Debussy, Honegger, Rosenthal, Poulenc. On way home Martinu Concerto for 2 pianos and Bartok Dance suite. Tuesday 28th to Redlibbets golf club, Sevenoaks for provincial council meeting. Interesting report and we were all asked to speak which was good! Circles will not like being audited!
