Swam 20, chat to Ann, mosaic and tai chi.  The Radical eye at Tate Modern an interesting collection of modernist photography owned by Sir Elton John. Liz and I were both at BSO -work on left knee as well as right one. To Kensington but too late to get to new Design museum so tea at M and S.  Robert Fraser gave an excellent talk on George Herbert at Heythrop. Youth matters minutes sent out. David Walliams and friend on TV and University challenge.

Mass and Lauds combined before breakfast. Rain again! Next September it is to be Ampleforth. Returned home from Salisbury via Winchester with a tea stop at Guildford cathedral. 195 miles round trip! We had a most interesting tour of Salisbury cathedral including Magna Carta in the wonderful chapter house and Canon Jeremy Davies joined us and showed us the lovely vestments. We made our little pilgrimage to George Herbert's church St Andrew Bemerton.

To Aylesford for a day with George Herbert led by Felicity Young. It was excellent and we had Vaughan Williams settings. Sylvia and Sheila were there. Mass at noon in choir chapel. I took lunch. Finished at 3.45 and drove to Selhurst. Served at Mass with Fr Brian. Decided not to attempt getting into the National Youth orchestra so brought scores home and was tired as I dropped off during Mahler 9.
