The organist librarian

Woke too late to swim. Liz went to Kendal. To Mass. Moved to tears by the Dementia choir on BBC - so marvellous to think that music can help dementia. Watched Repair shop. To 220 Upper Tooting Rd for iftar hosted by Labour party.  Rizwan, Malik and Kate were there. Great food and company - enjoyed meeting Sofia and Peter. 

Not a great start to the day. Woman swam into me and I knocked back of my head. The same person did this once before so I complained. The manager did NOT take my details and said he would speak to her and the attendant who seemed unaware of the incident! So much for health and safety records. I have emailed the pool. Will monitor headaches. She is a menace. Would you ask for her to come at special times or even ban her? Ryan the manager emailed twice and was concerned. I had a slight headache and felt tired.To Mass then Caterham to play for memorial service for Grayson Clarke.Had a chat to the homeless man opposite the hall  and suggested he try the Passage. Spoke to Daniel Clarke and his mother at Soper Hall about learning the organ. East Surrey museum to see display about WW1. I did not go to Southwark cathedral for Stephen Disley's recital. Watched Planet child, 2 Antiques roadshow, Dementia choir was very moving. Final of Only connect. Sent pool manager the October 2017 letter...

To Gaynor Mullane's funeral a sad but uplifting occasion. Don and the children all spoke so movingly. 42 came to the dementia awareness talk! It was excellent and Aoife urged us to support Dementia friends and raise awareness. A major part of the problem is reluctance to tell the GP about short term memory loss. Henry came and saw Anne Marie about children's guides.  To Royal Academy to see magnificent Charles I collection. Stayed overnight in Acton and spent the day cataloguing non-fiction in the library (which is in a mess again). I got my young helpers to tidy up. Great to see the boys again and they loved their new dressing gowns and the San Diego zoo map. An inspector came to see the library and said immediately a full time librarian was needed. Louise says no money for that!  To Anerley to see a  film about St Catherine of Siena. Back to swimming and did 20 lengths. Better have taken over Croydon leisure centres from Fusion - I wonder if they really will be better?...

Got to Caterham no choir as Linda unwell. Bach O Lamm Gott unschuldig, Lasceux fugue. Brian got me a heater as my hands were so cold. Did not got go to St Paul's talk or vespers as tired - kept waking up. Made some more cruise videos - only San Diego to do now. Call the midwife so sad as Barbara died. Watched Chris dementia programme - also sad. 

Back to mosaic and tai chi. I shelled out £42 even though I will miss 2 sessions. Tony was late. Produced posters and invites for the dementia awareness event. With Dennis Woodhouse to take music for February to David Dibbs and to Norwood Catenian circle meeting. David has a 3 manual Wyvern. Lively discussion about the review.

Interesting session on dementia at St Matthew's then to the Royal Academy for the Diebenkorn exhibition and to Regent Street for oil painting class. Watched Diarmaid MacCulloch on sex and the church.
