To Streatham drop-in centre for Asylum seekers and migrants which is a lovely hall for Interfaith harmony week breakfast. Great to see so many there including Catriona Robertson and Jill Gregson. Painting and Mind, body, spirit. To Farm St Church Hall to hear Barry and Margaret Mizen and Fr Michael Holman on violent crime and what we can do. Great to see Jimmy Burns and Dominic Robinson and meet Ruth chair of Westminster Faith interchange. Watched Couples come dine with me and University challenge. 

To Hurtado centre Wapping for meditation on Mary Mother of mercy then St George's cathedral Southwark for Your Catholic legacy Mass, nice lunch and talk by the Mizens. Met a Catenian and a potential Catenian. Arcbishop Peter Smith walked off when I was talking to the Mizens but saw him later. To the Jewel house Westminster and Painting with light at Tate Britain and watched the dancers in the Duveen gallery. Fr Quaqoe at Mass. To Big iftar at West London synagogue - lovely food and saw Rabbi Neuberger and met several people.  Played Bliss Royal fanfares (which we had at our wedding!)  Thomas Hewitt Jones  Fanfare for Queen's 90th, Moore Nobilmente and Crown Imperial which was much appreciated as was Lead me Lord. Practised with 3. Evensong at St John Upper Norwood marking RSCM Music Sunday Howells Collegium Regale Britten Jubilate Deo When in our music God is glorified. Enjoyed the Royal coverage especially the Weir anthem.

It is weeks since I went swimming. As I have had a chesty cough and cold it is not a good idea and I have been waking in the early morning. I do seem to have lost some weight since Christmas 10:2 at the moment. Monday 30th took Bruce and EJ to IKEA and Boots in pouring rain and they went to the National Portrait Gallery. Liz and I went to Clapham Picturehouse to see Saving Mr Banks which was excellent. Fascinating the clash over what should be done to Mary Poppins - do children want a softer version? Excellent songs and the flashbacks to Australia were very well done. Home to see Sacred Wonders of Britain. 31st grouted the mosaics I made yesterday - Bruce kindly cut the MDF for me. I have now made 3 of the Walsingham ones and 2 Keep calm and pray. Bruce and EJ went over to Louise and Tom's as they had a baby sitter. We went to the Clapham Picturehouse for 4.30 to see the Berlin Philharmonic New Year concert live conducted by Sir Simon Rattle OM with Lang Lang playing Prokofiev 3. ...

Monday swam 20. Back to mosaic and Linda back from Greece. Tai chi and 9 in class! To Heythrop and saw Michael for 30 minutes - says essays are good solid work. In library for an hour checking Vatican documents and references. Liz had been to see Kim, Ausra and Tony -seems she submitted wrong essay (hence the plagiarism hearing). Told her to keep calm and carry on! To Balham library to get scores. To Glyn close to get box of wires and lady came to recycle them. I rescued nice headphones and microphone for my laptop. To Catenians and Frank Savage Provincial President was there. He presented the circle with the book about Jimmy Mizen which I want to read! It was a happy evening with some great jokes. But only 8 of us and a lot of visitors! Tuesday swam 20. Liz got her laptop cleaned up - 114 items needed removing! Watched the Coronation 60 year commemoration from the Abbey. Terence was on duty. Stack and Hopes represented RCs and other faiths in prominent positions. The reformed rabbi ...

Swam 24 and Liz came - water cold again the air conditioning was on! Worked on essay. Liz went to get flowers and served at Aid to the church in need Mass with Bishop Declan Lang. I went to St Alphege near Southwark station for the forum meeting. Useful exchange of news and met Julie Siddiqui, Barbara Kentish, Tim Clapton. Barry Mizen, Phil Rosenberg and Siriol were there too. To Tate Modern to see Damien Hirst but unimpressed - why would anyone pay good money for this stuff? Liked the butterflies room and the butterfly paintings but hated the diamond encrusted skull. Home to do more work and listened to The Choir - Peter Maxwell Davies work for choir and organ. I am now a local leader for London2012 and got my first Olympic flag today.

Tuesday swam 30 had not been for ages! Liz to Dublin for Breda's year's mind Mass on Wednesday as Dennis could not go. To see Vickie - all sweetness and light. The assumption is that I want tor retire which of course I do not want to do. Still have gone online to see what is available. We shall see if Jo Richards is interested - she is playing on Sunday so I have a paid day off! Wednesday to Acton and we went to the park with Ciarán on scooter and had lunch at the cafe in the High Street. I went dressed in evening dress and changed - C arrived at bathroom wondering when I was coming to play with his kitchen! Changed again and he did his Thomas jigsaw very quickly! To cathedral interfaith group for 2nd session - new faces and 12 there. Patricia was a pain! Margaret vague as usual. Still we had an interesting discussion. To Eltham by train and Colin picked me up - via Welling to Bexleyheath Marriott hotel for Blackheath's 1000th meeting. 170 there including Grand President To...
