To Kevin Bowyer's interesting recital at the cathedral. Chat to David Grealy, Peter Stevens, Ben Bloor and Michael O'Leary. The Reger was very loud. Ernest Tomlinson and Alan Gibbs contrasted well with JSB, Mendelssohn and Dupre. Home and Thursday swam 20. Liz took Ciaran to party as school closed for referendum. Voted Remain. Horrendous flooding overnight so 2 hours on train to British museum and saw David Standley. Sunken cities of Egypt interesting and some lovely statues. To Collaboration house to meet Mirella Yandoli Church of Scotland interfaith officer - interesting chat and eats. Julian Bond there. To Courtauld to see Georgiana Houghton's spirit led paintings and Monets and drawings of trees. Also enjoyed Saturday club young people's art work from around the country. To Daniel Moult's recital at St John's and he repeated much of what he played at Bromley. Worked on July 17 Mass booklet. 

Swam 20, grouted 3 mosaics and then to St Michael Cornhill for Kevin Bowyer's recital which was not Widor 5 but some interesting smaller items. I wish recitalists would use the microphone! Bought wood and cut it to patch up bottom of shed. Very hot! Had a chat to Ann and they had found Frank  William Woodhouse at Canberra ANZAC museum and sent great photos. Both went to iftar at Notting Hill Unitarian small Sufi group nice chanting and hot food, Habib and Alan were there. Home by 11.30 and slept downstairs.

On Thursday having spent the whole morning on the essay to Hinsley room for first Lent group meeting using "Amazing grace" the diocesan booklet which is well-illustrated. Peggy, Rita, Joan and Clare were joined by Winifred. She was late and disrupted the prayers. She had texted me assuming I was Father John! She was decidedly odd and started on about gay Masses. At the end she said she would not return which frankly is a relief. Friday I finished the essay on Dupuis. Saturday to the Royal Festival hall for London organ day which was well attended. Saw Angela Harris from Brentwood, Alan Hurst and is wife from Bexley, a lady from Kintbury Bershire, 2 ladies from Eastbourne, Chris Town, Peter, Michael Toplis, Norman Harper who made some useful suggestions on repertoire. Interesting talks on acoustics and voicing from William MacVicar and Andy Scott. James Orford played Brian Brockless, Williamson symphony did not sound good next to Kenneth Leighton Paean.
