A new week

 Swam 20. Breakfast in the garden. SM, S and B. We both went to chair based exercise at UNACC. Water features not working. Wimbledon has started! To Balham circle - the venue was double booked so we went to Pho Vietnamese restaurant. The 3 Croydon brothers did not stay. 15 minutes before we ordered drinks another 10 minutes to order food and starters eventually came. My Super green soup cannot have taken 45 minutes to prepare. The net day the manager explained in reply to my comment on trip advisor. 3 staff were off sick. Knee playing up a bit and back tired after clearing up the garden.  Tuesday Swam 20. SM. S and B. To St Catherine's school Teddington to train 6 servers. Delicious lunch and Mary Ryan gave us an orchid and wine. Sad that St Mary's student choir is under threat. Sleepy. An exciting week.

 Monday to see Fr Witon with Rita and he agreed that the cathedral will mark Season of creation! Smitf prayers and chat to Noel. Excellent talk by Carmody Grey. Tuesday  Best surprise ever? Liz said to me that Louise was coming over to Crystal Palace so I popped along to Bookseller Crow on the Hill. Imagine my amazement when I got to Blackbird to find Bruce there! We have not seen him for 2 years! It's a pity Dennis could not join us. And even better news Louise and Bruce are going to THE WEDDING in Sydney and we are invited to Jersey in October. Letter to Bishop John revised and sent. There were misunderstandings from Magda and I did not take kindly to being told how to write to a bishop I have known for a long time! He responded very positively. Bed and towels done. Been swimming 3 times this week! Thursday Garden cleared up. Ironing Season of creation webinar. Norman's recital was just odd. Southwark cathedral

 SM and B (S did not broadcast) To Southwark cathedral for SPIDIR AGM and study day. Dean Andrew a most interesting cathedral tour. Things I have never noticed. To Fairfield hall new cafe for LMP coffee morning. Excellent violin and viola playing Bach solos and the young manager/fixer explained her amazing job. No microphones made it hard to hear much! Platinum jubilee

 Friday another fine day. B, SM and S.  Splendid service from St Paul's. Fine anthem by Judith Weir. Well played Martin Ford ! The descants and brass were stunning. Bojo got booed. Harry and Meghan were there. Yannick Nzeget-Sequin conducting Brahms 3 and a new work in Hamburg. Had a look at a bit of Budapest Parsifal. One line on test second one fainter. Liz went to Emma and Robin's St John's recital. I watched the rest of Love from NT home and the three absorbing parts of Death of England.
