Meopham/Medway Towns joint meeting and an excellent meal and Ubbo and William were good. Home by midnight. 

Woke early so played with new laptop. To church to get copy of Lord for the years - it was in fact in the hymn book at St Matthew's/. Last day of the spiritual direction course at St Matthew's Croydon. It's been an interesting years and we had a lovely shared lunch and final liturgy with me playing organ and piano and Cherie played piano and drums! We sang Be still, Tell out my soul, Lord for the years and We are marching.To Balham library to get lots of scores for the Proms. Federer wins against Murray! Liz went to doctor as scan showed possible damage but not to the brain. Neurologist's report to follow. 

The match between Federer and Juan Martin del Potro is engrossing and a real battle. Watched the people's history and History of art in 3 colours - blue also Michael Portillo so gradually catching up. To prom Siegried Idyll and Bruckner's 8th BBC Scottish with Donald Runnicles on great form. Came home to Carte d'Or ice cream and Montepulciano wine and watched some of the TV of the Bruckner.

Louise took Ciarán home in the car -  she is now working at home because of the Olympics. We went by bus and tram to Wimbledon and new shuttle bus to Wimbledon. We had excellent seats on Court No. 1 in the shade for £16 each! Saw Juan Monaco of Argentina beat David Goffin of Belgium. Serena Williams was great as was John Imber. Kim Clijsters beat Spaniard and to our surprise there was a first round men's double match - Roger Federer and Walianka beating Japanese pair in 3 sets = brilliant! Home by 10.15 p.m. after a fantastic day
