CThird Sunday of Easter started at Blackfriars Oxford, John Wilson at St George's cathedral. In passing noted outdoor service at Guildford cathedral with birdsong and 2 excellent  boys singing a hymn "We have a gospel to proclaim". Really enjoyed the zoom meeting with St John's folk. YouTube St John Caterham and St John Upper Norwood. Excellent sermons. Leeds cathedral with 4 priests. The road to Emmaus is so relevant right now! Cleaned the garden water features and got them running. Watched Easter day organ recital from Washington cathedral on YouTube. I have finished going through Dad's 7 volumes for my life story now I must start on my own extensive files! Started clearing photos off Liz's laptop making sure they are on external hard drives. Watched Becoming Matisse and Flemish masters.

The last time I was at Caterham was Vi's funeral 11/3. Last time at the cathedral 29/2. Could be months before we go back. Last time I received communion 11 March at Dulwich circle. Monday 30th 3 more sessions with Ian. I still have not finish my drawing of the face. As I will have to use oils there is no hurry. Faith in isolation was excellent. Watched final of Only connect, University challenge and Aubrey Beardsley with Mark Gatiss. Will not see the Tate exhibition I guess. Act 1 of Butterfly from Swedish opera with an excellent tenor and modern production. Jim Connolly died and Tom Tannion wrote and Arthur Hughes rang so had a good chat. Recorded Passiontide hymns and pieces by Henry Coleman. Jennifer Bate died a sad loss. Today was the funeral of Archbishop Peter Smith. We would have been singing in the choir. Mass at Anerley. Very fine letter from Archbishop John Wilson. . Much as I love Colossians Paul knew little about wives. Watched The Two Popes on Netflix and loved it! Antiques roadshow and The trial of Christine Keeler were good. Mass and we both went to see Cats which was pretty amazing. Makeup and production can't be faulted. Spent the afternoon editing the catalogue. Programme on lynxes.

Lots of lovely goodies from Bruce Woodhouse including operas and scarf and arty socks. Splendid singing from Croydon Minster at Midnight Mass. Well done all especially Ronnie Krippner and Tom Little! So good to see young people singing so well at Bradford and Croydon. The tradition will continue! The Mozart and Rutter are terrific and stunning descant. We'll done everyone! If Leeds diocese can run so many youth choirs why not others? Bravo St George's cathedral Southwark!
