At Whitechapel gallery a film about a marble column rather intriguing. Rest of the work unimpressve. Had caperberries in tomato salad.  Jeremiah Stephenson played well at Bloomsbury Baptist but modern piece very weird and one registration fluff in Alain.  Fr  John at vespers and Mass for Birth of John Baptist who is his name saint. I am John the Evangelist.  At big iftar Hyderi mosque Streatham. Adrian and Diana Mills spoke well, also a Jewish journalist and deputy from MCB. Less impressed by Palestinian woman on Prevent. Met Rupert Sutton again and William was there, also David Sutton.

Radicalisation

The discussion of youth, alienation and radicalisation at the Attlee suite Portcullis House was interesting. Huge crowds at Victoria because of the bus strike and security took a while. Fiyaz Mughal of Faith matters and Matthew Feldman both spoke well and Francis Sealey allowed me 2 points about hate crime and poor police reaction and positive news needed from mosques, To Acton and slept well. Seán is now chatting a great deal and he enjoyed music calling out maraca and saying goodbye. Listened to Christ Church Oxford evensong which was spoilt by boys trying too hard. H.C.Stewart canticles and Francis Pott voluntary. Saw Come dine with me.

Radicalisation

Tuesday listened to evensong from King's and we both went to the lecture on Faith matters in the cathedral hall. 2 outstanding addresses on vocation by a head teacher and Fr Paul who is a Jesuit doctor. Much food for thought. Not as many there as last week. To Acton and saw the end of Gypsy wedding. To Chiswick Town hall with Ciarán who yelled " I want Mummy" all the way to the station in pouring rain! He did enjoy it especially the snakes and cars - Amanda's dancing and singing. To Starbucks Chiswick in the rain for lunch and he played with the toys. Liz took him to mass and I went to the Spirituality centre for Jill Benet's afternoon session on "Seeing God in all things". Then to 61 Whitehall for the Religion and society 3rd in series on radicalisation. 5 excellent speakers and some interesting questions on the research. Watched One born every minute and rest of Gypsy wedding - felt tired. Tits in the nesting box on our silver birch for the first time!
