Fr Tom

To St Edmund Beckenham for the funeral of Fr Tom Creagh-Fuller. It was a fitting tribute with some humour too. Good to see old friends. Tea at Kent House until Alina had finished! Apprentice won by Carina. Dennis took me to Mayday for MRI scan of lower back - very noisy.

Nicolas Kynaston

Took Ciaran to school and Liz did not go in because of tummy. Took Sean to music and he enjoyed it. He slept well and I listened to Norwich cathedral evensong while Liz took Ciaran to swimming. Liz had a good time in New York last week and Tom is going to Sydney for a week! To the cathedral for Nicolas Kynaston's well attended recital. Richard Pilliner was there. Liszt, Reubke, Mozart, Reger and Roger-Ducasse. It was rather a heavy programme. Thursday only swam 16 as I was late up. Liz to college. To South London interfaith group lunch which was very delicious and some good sharing about National Interfaith week. To National Portrait gallery to see excellent Elizabeth 1 and Britten displays. Hannukkah lights in Trafalgar Square. To Heythrop for excellent lecture by Baroness Scotland about being a thinking Catholic in public life. Fr Michael O'Boyle, Allen Morris and Tom Creagh-Fuller were there. Chatted to a Muslim and Dr Prout from Brisbane. Monika from Liz's class was th...

Prokofiev

Another lovely day. Swam 20 would have been more had Liz not been able to find her card. Listened to Prokofiev's Cinderella conducted by Gergiev LSO from the Proms with piano score. The recording cut the end of Act 2 which was a shame! A most inventive score! Bruce collected dining room small TV to take to Louise and brought us his old one. He also took wooden bike and bouncer. Spoke to Fr Tom Creagh-Fuller and we has put the conference Mass in his diary - have sent out a draft order of service. Watched Come dine with me, Great British bake off and Ian Hislop's Stiff upper lip.

To the cathedral for the ordination of Bishop Richard Moth, Bishop to the Forces, which was a splendid affair. Trumpeters from the Welsh Guards, professional choir singing Byrd, Mozart and Hassler, lots of bishops and Southwark clergy. We were consecration torches. After the Coloma Mass yesterday which Liz left all went well. At the reception afterwards saw Fr Peter Stodart, Fr John O'Toole, Fr Adrian from Worth, sisters from Minster Abbey, even Fr Joe said Hello to me, Fr Kevin, Fr Soper, Fr Mathias, Fr David Gummitt and Fr Tom Creagh-Fuller. Sandwiches, fruit and wine. Bus home and 2 Tablets to catch up on as post has been so bad. Richard Moth was the priest who showed concern for us after the Addiscombe mess.
