To John Fisher school Purley for 3 Explore sessions with year 12 young men who are much more mature and asked some sensible questions once they got over the sex ones. In fact we were able to talk about the sacramental aspect of marriage much more and also our future. We saw Fr Clark as we were leaving. I went to Caterham for a meeting with Jerry at the vicarage which was positive. To Acton. Spent a quiet day with Sean watching Wimbledon. Federer on great form against Cilic. Lousie met us near to East Acton so we got tube to Shepherds Bush and 3 delayed trains to Selhurst. Got to Redlibbets golf club at 7.30. Meopham/Medway Towns joint meeting and an excellent meal and Ubbo and William were good. Home by midnight. 

Gave out Explore leaflets before the marriage anniversaries Mass at St George's cathedral Southwark. It was good to several friends there celebrating!! To Battersea Park peace pagoda and lots of speeches on a rather cold afternoon. Pat Gaffney and the Mayor of Wandsworth spoke well. Good to see friends there and the sister from Amaravati monastery. Fr John celebrated at the cathedral and smashing Franck chorale No. 3 at the end. Good chat to  Peter Stevens .

Morning at LBFN Faith in social action at University of Westminster.  Shereen, Shanti, Catriona, Siriol there.  Explore marriage session at St Benedict Ealing - it went well but we needed more time.  The library is impressive. To Acton so Liz could change.  Lovely meal at Royal Society of Medicine our 4th OJ reunion dinner and great to have  Stan Trollip  with us. Mike Stanley has 2 books coming out this year. It's expensive but worth it.  Before dinner we prayed for our friends from the year of 1963 who have died and the Old Johannians killed in the First World War especially at Delville Wood.

Swam 20.  Our second session talking about our marriage for Explore at Christ the King Lewisham some good questions. Do you ever get fed up with each other? what would you do if one of you cheated? What was the attraction? To meditation at St John's and wrote it up in my journal and Liz went to the Oratory for St Matthew passion. I went to oil painting on aluminium with Nelson. Wednesday took Sean to Osterley and enjoyed the walk. Lunch at the Osterley garden centre. Picked up Liz and to Guild of St John SOuthworth talk on Bentley. Brian Cuthbertson of the Diocese of London stimulating on Laudato si' 9  came and a good discussion. Slow bus journey to Brixton 6 Buddhists and me discussing transformative action. Start by creating a blogspot to which all can contribute. Watched the excellent Richard Dimbleby lecture on Shakespeare.

Monday up early and swam 20. To mosaic and left early to get to Sunbury. Liz went to funeral of Lourdes patient at Shepperton. It poured when I left the station to walk to St Paul's school. We sat in on a session with another couple and then agreed to answer questions from a large class about our marriage. They were very polite and interesting questions. Mary took us to Whitton and we had tea and food there. Liz came home and I went to the Festival Hall to hear David Titterington. There was an interesting interview with him and Sally Beamish about her new work with William McVicar. I sat the side to follow scores for the Brahms and Franck. Buxtehude and the Nielsen Commotio made up an interesting programme. Saw Andrew, Chris Town and Adrian.
