Woke at 7 and packed up and Ciaran was very helpful. To Godstone farm where we met Louise in the car park. Wellies on but feet got really cold. There were hundreds there - met up with Lou's friends in the cafe and saw the piglets and animals. Ciaran enjoyed the sandpit and the pretend train. We left around 12.45 and Liz dropped me at Purley. There was a meeting about fire drills in the Hinsley room so I sat in the small room and read Dupuis. Tried to read Rowan Williams on Rahner and Balthaser but it was beyond me! Bought cover for Dennis's new missal. Interfaith group 7 there and Katharine came. Went through the book putting down suggestions for the cathedral. To Heythrop and bought scarf for Liz and claimed voucher for doing student survey. Had a quick meal and an interesting lecture and presentation from Xavier on interreligious prayer. Home to watch Brian Cox. Thursday swam 22 and settled down upstairs to write essay on Dupuis. Several in the class have not started either...

To the cafe to meet Gemma and the lovely 6 month old Sebastian then to Godstone farm. Saw 2 families of piglets the sows Curly and Wurly covered in curly hair, lots of sheep, goats, kids and lambs, rabbits, guinea pigs, fowl, llamas, alpacas. Ciarán loved the sandpit and the slides with Bruce. Drove to Acton via Hampton Court and Teddington - a different route. Tommy came home and delighted to see us. Home just after 8 listening to Roxanna Panufnik's new violin concerto 4 world seasons played by Tasmin Little. Cried off Catenian 10 pin bowling - I find Valley Park far too noisy any way!

Ciarán woke at 6.30 a.m. and we were both awake. Went to Josie's to say goodbye to Malcolm and Ursula - C seemed very unsure at first. To Godstone farm where we saw lots of animals, went on a tractor ride and stroked a rabbit. He loved the soft play area. Evensong from Eton Choral course. Watched Apprentic final and Secrets of the Arabian Nights. Missed prom Fvorak and Smetana and Martin Baker's recital at the cathedral but lovely to put Ciarán to bed so happily. Exhausted! Interesting radio programme on the cello in literature.
