Buses to Euston we were early. Watched Fake or fortune on William Nicholson. Marigolds hotel in Udaipur. Tram to Radcliffe from Manchester. Gill and Chich met us and drive to Bolton. Visited loudly church of St Stephen and all martyrs Lever Bridge hot chocolate! Met Ian who taught Peter Stevens. Nice chat and meal. Sewed poppies. Friday Gill and Chich set off for Edinburgh. Mel Plomley picked us up and All Saints Stand has a most impressive 3 manual organ and we also went to St Paul Astley Bridge where Mel plays. A Hill messed up by Cowin. Mass at St Patrick's with 2 hymns. Practised and Carole and Kevin came as flowers came. Nice soup and crumble at vegetarian kitchen. Bolton Parish church shut.  finished Proms plus. To Tavernfayre in buses. Got off too early. Delicious steak and kidney pie, Lemon meringue pie. Malcolm and family. Couple who are Prommers.  Uber back at 11. Slept well. Sat a quiet morning. Ciaran was sick twice when I was at the Prom. He and I were up early and he wanted Calpol so I got some from Tescos having tried Sainsburys and got petrol. To Mass - Fr Stuart had to read! Ciaran clearly not on form so plans to go swimming and the Horniman museum were abandoned and he slept. Made 4 red felt poppies and put our Tower of London ceramic poppy from 2014 in the garden at last!! We did do some painting with Sean and Tom came and collected them. Watched 2 Antiques roadshow and Africa. Listened to Gershwin American in Paris from the Prom but not the Messiaen!  Nice to have a quiet day and a break from travelling to the hall. Went through my box for the spirituality day and checked CDs.

Thursday was a quiet day. I went to art and finished the watercolour pencil autumn picture. Not entirely happy with it. Liz went to see the poppies at the Tower of London which have been a sensation. People wasnt them to stay -  we have bought one. Went up for 4 pm. with Father Andrew Connick but Liz was held up at the Apple store interview about her computer so meeting abandoned and I went to Tate Britain for the late Turner exhibition and the Turner prize which was rubbish - 3 vidoes and screen printing! From there to Brixton for Conversations for the soul which went well with 7 there. Liz went to Acton to babysit. I went on Friday to apply for the Indian visas - 90 minutes wait! I missed Martin Ford's recital at Turnham Green. I went to Acton and stayed overnight. Lou and Tom were both working very late. 

Lie-in reading the Rabbi's daughter. I fell on my knees one entering the gallery last night - just got knocked in the rush and I'm OK but found I was dropping things today including tea on my trousers. Had a horrid dream about being in a hired car with Ann in the front and Liz in the back and we somehow ended up on a river beach and had to get out quick as the car sank. Paul was in a small digger spinning round and round! To St Stephen Wallbrook for Richard Hall and Midori Jaeger playing Brahms, Martinu and Part on cello and piano - quite mesmerising - my drawing not very good. To Whitechapel gallery but unimpressed by Paolini. To the Tower to see the amazing poppies. To Morley college for the open day. I was early but there seemed to be no proper system in place and art students had to go across the road any way.
