A fun morning painting with boys! No mosaic, Saw Ros and she seemed more relaxed. Beautiful evensong at St Michael Cornhill. Howells responses and St Paul's service and Faire is the heaven. Parry chant for the psalm. Well done Jonathan Rennert and all involved. Only one caveat the pulpit Mike is not connecting to the loop! Benjy Bloor played superbly at the Oratory but I did get lost between Alain and Hindemith! I also told a young lady she had no right to record the whole thing on her phone without permission! 

5 at mosaic. A truly wonderful visit to both Brompton oratory organs. Thank you Benjy Bloor! I played Howells and Murray. What a thrill! The Mary Quant exhibition at V and A rather crowded but good. Victoria's coronet and exhibition about Albert worth seeing. Cafe rather pricey! To Royal Academy of music for final recital at Duke's Hall by the amazing Andrzej Malitowski playing most of Clavierubung 3. Some of his registrations were surprising and the speed of youth! Michael Butterfield was turning. I introduced myself to David Titterington.

I went back to tai chi today after a long gap thanks to the Proms, Spain and Belmont. We did a Japanese exercise The Cycle of Life.  Benjy Bloor  played superbly at Brompton Oratory. That organ really speaks like a voice singing! Good to see  Marko Sever  .Nice to meet Benjy's wife and they enjoyed Bali. Marko is playing at the cathedral Jan 28th. Saw Paddy Russill and Charles Cole. 

Listened to evensong from St Mary Redcliffe with RSCM Millenium choir - premieres by Panufnik and Farringdon and Philip Moore and vespers from the oratory which included Durufle. Reading Pierce's book.

Emma came to a happy conclusion on TV last night! 30 lengths although it was busy. FL sick again so we were short but I did get to tai chi and 4 new recruits and a new form to learn! To Brompton Oratory for John McGreal's excellent playing of Bach's Clavierubung III. I spoke to Simon Lloyd, Patrick Russill and David Gammie afterwards. He did not play it all unlike Gillian Weir and there was a lot of reeds which did not help my tinnitus! But he played superbly and some interesting sounds too. Printed out provincial council stuff while watching programme on Sydney Anglicans which Fr Rob picked up - scarey!
