Sunday

Radio 4 at 8 from Welsh Baptist college featured "Unless a grain of wheat". I did not agree with the student he said this time felt like the Word could not be preached. St Paul says Preach at all times in and out of season. I suppose the student meant preaching in church assemblies but I have heard some brilliant sermons online! I was early at church so had time to record. Enjoyed playing Eric Smith Aria also part of Enigma variations and Mendelssohn slow movements. There were more at church today and a good sermon from Jerry Garton on silence. More traffic driving back. I am very conscious that we have lost 2 dear people this week but God has sent me a new friend via Zoom Catenians! How come William told me on Tuesday that Stephen Bullivant was speaking on Wed? John Pettit remembered my name after 61 years and got in touch. That is NOT chance and coincidence! Some of Butterfly from the Met. A stunning Chinese soprano. Anna Crawford playing the cello at St John's on you tube. St John's and St George's cathedral on you tube. Astonished to hear hymns sung at St John's so wrote to Fr John. The sound was poor and could not hear the presentation to Fr Daniel of a bird table. He is going to West Putney. Watched part of Prokofiev War and Peace you tube. Enjoying Shaku and family on BBC1! On the road to Caterham sign says Stay alert. Beat the virus. Save lives. It is meaningless. Be alert for what?
Distancing would be better. Better still Stay home. Is your journey really necessary? Louis Theroux on autism. Antiques roadshow. Nelson on money!
