Tuesday Blackfriars. SMITF. Henry came. Natural history museum talk on disappearing UK wild flowers. Laudato Si week webinar on education. Disappointing it was all about universities. Fake or fortune on Sir Thomas Lawrence. Took Liz to West Wickham for ear wax removal and hearing test. Prof McQuade on Investing in nature. Excellent talks Buddhist and Jain on Faith and nature. Cardinal Hollerich an inspiration! Liz wrecked meditation by discussing going away! Leeds Minster William Campbell playing Popplewell and Parry. David Houlder playing Spedding, Hoyle and Albinoni. Had to rush to get washing in from the rain! Zoom Greenearth on fossil fuels. Excellent webinar Aid to the Church in need on religious freedom - lively chat about interfaith dialogue and better religious education. David Alton, Baroness Kennedy and Archbishop John Wilson. Alas questions were not answered. Retrospective Chelsea flower show. Sewing Bee.

Thursday Blackfriars and SMITF. End of Sir Thomas Lawrence painting programme. Wrote to cathedral again! Prepared notes for SLIFG committee. Watched final of All that glitters - awful presenter. Excellent Churches trust talk on 20th century churches. LSi webinar on prayer and religious communities. Quite a passionate LSI UK meeting and Magdalena joined us. Also Peter and Mary Cameron.  A bit of Prof Behr's lecture at Oxford. Gresham college on Shostakovich. Stephen Disley played a popular programme at St John Upper Norwood. It was good to hear Strength and stay by Piers Maxim - i heard it broadcast from Southwark cathedral - a fine tribute. Good audience and good that Liz wanted to go out and enjoy some live music! Our Yorkshire farm.

Friday woke at 5 and again at 8.30. SMITF morning song, Blackfriars election of prior, plainchant Holy Spirit. Interviewed Sheila. The Catenian conference workshops were much better than expected and questions were answered. Gonville and Caius recital Francesca Massey ended with Messiaen. Shed erection delayed until June - furious. We were told it would be done on Tuesday! 3rd programme on music developments in 19th century. Question of sport, Would I lie to you, Great British menu.
