Woking

Friday end of the retreat and we were asked to share. I talked about the cone I had picked up and drawn. Lunch and then drove home with no problems. Got petrol at local Sainsbury's - other garages on the route had none! Watched Statements after an arrest under the immorality act by Athol Fugard from Orange theatre. Excellent but no sub titles. I think I would find it difficult to follow a play in the theatre! Bake off extra slice. I think the retreat was good but not worth £172! What was its purpose? Food good, room Ok. If the intention was to get to know each other better it failed dismally!

Saturday woke late. Nazareth from St James park with a Franciscan Br Clark. RSCM discussion with Bob Chilcott very disappointing sound was boomy. 2 nice choral items. Last week's Nazareth from St Katharine's. We had a discussion about going to the cathedral tonight but it turns out servers are not required? Watched National Theatre Under Milk Wood - brilliant. Strictly. Come dine with me. Princess Michael of Kent.

Prelude on St Botolph Gordon Slater, Howells Psalm prelude, prayer of St Richard LJWhite, Toccata Andrew Moore On the way to church black convertible suddenly opened his door and had to swerve round him. Luckiy oncoming car was some way off.  Blackfriars. Jenufa from Covent Garden was riveting. Mattila on stunning form. Dame Sarah Connolly on Desert island discs. Houseplants are good for health. Just a minute chaired by Sue Perkins. The mating game. Earthshot prize part 3.

Monday SM and B. Spidir committee was good. Colette's meeting on zoom. Programme on Waterloo bridge. Balham catns. Only connect, university challenge, Brown and Blair and Northern Ireland, final V and A museum programme.

Tuesday SM and B. To West Wickham Owens ears syringed with micro suction. Right one very bad - there was a big lump of ear wax on the ear drum! Use olive oil in future no chemicals. £70 well spent as an immediate improvement in both ears! LMP zoom was good. Essex interfaith forum. Did invite draft for Nov 28th. Quiet time. Sean came and put mastic on extension roof - yesterday he checked under the bath but it is dry. I still think it might be rising damp in the extension? Piano. More work on the invite and video. Alexander Armstrong in Iceland and Tony Robinson on the Thames.

Wednesday lie-in! B. To doctor for flu jab. Meditation disturbed by more emails on the Nov event.  Liz went to get paint samplers. Sion centre Rabbi Rachel on creation narratives very informative. Excellent Heythrop talk by Shanon Shah Faiths for the climate. Prof Whitty on insect born diseases.
