Tales of Hoffmann

Tuesday snow so no swim! It cleared quite quickly- bus, train and tube to Clapham Common. Lady on train with baby in pram which was crying and baby refused juice and dummy so I suggested she might be teething. Oh no she's just tired! So why not pick her up and cuddle her to sleep then? I can tell the difference between cries! Tales of Hoffmann from the Met was superbly sung and produced - really enjoyed it and not seen it before. Posted photo CDs to Fr Renato Zilio in Marseille - had to buy tape as the tape on the envelope was coming off. To the House of Commons committee room 8 the Wellington room for the excellent GlobalNet 21 meeting "Does bombing an ideology ever work?" Excellent speakers esp Michael Stephens on the Middle East. Most voted No. I asked a question about control of the internet and the role of multinational oil companies. Met a political editor for ITV news and an agnostic Jew! I love looking at the plaques in Westminster Hall. To Acton.
The usual day - renewed membership of Watermans and Sean enjoyed music referring to Philip and copying words. Did not go to Robin Burgess spirituality day and when I picked up Ciaran Miss Sutcliffe explained phonics and red words all of which he knows! Home to watch Wolf Hall and Up the women.
