Laptop fixed

To CCJ event at St Stpehen Dulwich Harry Freeman on Shylock's Venice, Knocked Mark's car door reversing across the road but luckily the garage fixed it for him for nothing! Sewing bee, Terracotta army, Doris Day interview. Had to get a locksmith as Liz left her key in the door frm the inside. Westmnster cathedral Mass for SS Peter and Paul with Vatican cricket team Fr Mikey going to Feltham. Played Albinoni Adagio and Finlandia. Fr Tom on Julian of Norwich so ordered 2 books. 

Friday at Croydon Minster Barnaby Silverstone played the Dorian so I went back to playing it on Sunday. Ben Collyer was to play it on Sat at Bloomsbury Baptist but I did not go because of getting back to Beckenham and Pride crowds. Liz went to St Vincent's fete - Sean's last one. Mrs Dalloway with Vanessa Redgrave. My letter about voting green in The Tablet. Hustings at St Leonard;s Streatham for the elderly. Scott spoke well. Steve Reed sounding like a Tory. Lib Dem impressive. Tory is a teacher very out of touch. Facebook removed ICN post about Palestine. To Sacred Heart Hammersmith cloister paintings to be restored - turns out the organ is a rarity from Belgium. Very interesting talk on school's history and bought book. Long chat to Ellen. 

The Restore nature nowwas amazing 60,000. Great service at Farm St and I sang in the choir. Managed the walk from Park Lane to Parliament Square. Very well organised. Sat at Bus shelters. Watched speeches on 4 screens in Whitehall and on you tube. LSi meeting very excited about it all. 

Unimpressed by Beddington ERF don't think it is safe there have been 7 breaches. Wrote to councillors about recycling. Channel 4 programme on criminal activity and flytipping. The Duke excellent. Freud's last session excellent. Liz went to Mass Sunday pm and managed to lock the steering. Fr Andrew finally got it unlocked. He told us at Mass on Sat about churches in Rome all of which I have visited. 

Monday am Liz was sick. She has one more tablet to take and she was sick once before. Cellulitis on her right leg still not cleared. Did not go to swimming. Large lady fell over at aerobics. Took Liz to GP then she went off to A and E at St Thomas. Tennis from Wimbledon. Put Jigsaw away - edge too hard. 

Tuesday played 2 hymns and Thiman on Slane for bell ringer Ken's funeral. Bells before, during and after the service! Handbells from All Saints Warlingham lovely sweet sounds and they play carols! Merstham Path group sang Worthy is the Lamb spiritual version. Nice eats and good chat about Proms. Drove to Christ's hospital Horsham and Jonathan Lee was very helpful. Had to wait for the others to arrive from Cranleigh. I played Moore Toccata. The tuba and full chorus are magnificent! Free organ books! 90 minute drive home. Tea and then to Kent House to visit Liz in Albert ward. Leg still red. Tennis. 

Wed interesting webinar on summer risks - climate section not unexpected! Liz finally came home around 4 p.m. thanks to delays and diversions! Tennis. Played some of the new music from Sussex. It includes Alan Rees and Malcolm Archer. August hymns chosen. Sewing Bee. 

Thursday Election day woke at 6 and dropped off during SM. Woke to SM on my hearing aids and could not find my phone - it was in the bed clothes! Lambeth application for school street appeared to not accept scans of my blue badge so sent them again! Swim - a bit busy. Tennis. Andy Murray retired. Liz was sick so rang 111 and doctr advised going back to St Thomas's. Started Amazon jigsaw. 

Friday I was up very late watching results come in. Grant Shapps, ReesMogg, Truss gone. Corbyn and Farage elected. Labout sweep to a huge victory. Rishi speaks of kindness and wishes Sir Keir luck. What about the Rwanda policy? Was that kind? Did not go for swim - feeling tired and lots to watch. There are 4 Greens! Lib Dems have done well. To Croydon University hospital chapel for 60th anniversary cakes. Stephanie, Sikhs, Deborah and Fr David from Purley. Liz came home. More tennis. Cabinet posts announced.

Sat to St John's and both sang at ordination of 4 including John Fox. Nice eats and spoke to the Bishop, man from St Peter's South Croydon, Martin and Mandy and clergy. Tennis. Lovely singing from first Bahai temple in Europe 60th anniversary (Rana told us about it). Read at Mass and gave invites out. Tennis. 

Played Allegretto by Stanford, Wolvercote Thalben-Ball and Trumpet tune David N. Johnson. We sang Panis angelicus by Franck and it was much appreciated! A and M strikes again - the full copy of Give thanks is not as clear as it should be and the congregation kept going! Tennis. At evensong we sang Stanford in C and O for a closer walk with God and a nice introit.

Monday woke at 6. Jigsaw. Jaguar done. SM silent hour and Blackfriars. Swim and aerobics. End of Colette's meeting - zoom playing up. To Phoenix centre for talk on railways supporting D day. Amazing enterprise to bring trains and rails across the Channel. SM Julie Dunstan quiet time. Jerome Beards St Benedict week. My comments were appreciated on youth and silences. Sir Alexander McCall Smith.

Tuesday woke early 5am but dropped off again. SM, Blackfriars. Fr Bede celebrating and Fr Timothy preached. Swk. Swim. I usually swim 20 lengths each weekday and use the disabled change room with my radar key. Some time ago somebody opened the door when I was in there so a notice was put on the door as a result of my comments. It says “when the red dots show the room is occupied. “ Today somebody opened the door when I was changing. People a)can’t read b )are colour blind c ) don’t want to read and don’t care! Coffee and cake at Alexandra's Nurseries and got plants. Quiet time read Carter on Carretto. Chat to Clare was great. Tennis. Rowan Williams on Madeleine Debrel.
