Robin

Both swam (first time for ages) Mass. Fr Robin led a brilliant day on the raising of Lazarus. Marilyn Harper entertained us with Sweelinck at St Matthew Westminster. Evensong at Temple Church, two Alleluias! Fine anthem by Philip Moore. Bach very well played. Creed and responses cut and last verses of hymns changed. Why? Perhaps to accommodate those there for launch of book on Christian, Jewish and Islamic law? Watched Mary Berry cooking and Juliet won Great sewing bee.

Don McCullin

Both swam and Mass. Feast of St Joseph. Signed book of condolence at New Zealand house. The staff were really nice. Don McCullin's photographs at Tate Britain raise so many questions. Should war and famine be recorded? What about violent films? Don't they breed more violence? Images change minds and can lead to the end of wars. Similarly the huge donations in the face of famines. But why are root causes not addressed? New lady at quiet time who was in India for 5 years and did a lot of yoga. Antiques road show, Sewing bee, Bake off for cancer, Only connect. Sorted magazines.

Sewing

Great celebrity bake-off and Great British sewing Bee both fun! Calendar for art galleries.

Shrove Tuesday

Took Henry to music gems at the Salvation Army and he loved it. Then to Crystal Palace park playground, bacon butties and the dinosaurs. To quiet hour and Liz went to Lourdes Mass in the cathedral crypt. Caught up on Antiques roadshow, Only connect, University challenge and Couples come dine with me. Sewing bee. We had American fluffy pancakes.

Organ builder

Liz took Henry to music at the Salvation Army. To Ryarsh to the Sign of the Pipe and fascinating talk from Dr Shuker. Lunch at the Duke of Wellington and walked over the M20 to the church. Came home via Caterham. I closed the swell box which I forgot to do on Sunday after the Parry! Shopped at Waitrose. Watched sewing bee, Only connect and banker's guide to art. Wed a quiet day both to Mass and coffee, then cleaned carpets at Glyn Close and long discussion with Dennis. Home to do jigsaw and good progress and watched Couples come dine with me. Vietnam for the elderly.
