Nelson

Mass. What a pleasure to meet my amazing teacher Nelson Ferreira in the Grand cafe and visit the Royal Academy life drawing exhibition. I popped into the Dali/Duchamp which I knew I would dislike to see the Crucifixion. It was very crowded. To St James Piccadilly to see Suspended in aid of Safe Passage. Evidence of homeless sleeping on our streets. At least they can sleep in that church. Booked up Bristol course.  Watched Christmas Bakeoff and Victoria Wood.

Dark Ages

Thursday to Mass English Martyrs. To art and elephant baby painting finished. Julie liked my life drawings. To dentist and one filling needed. To Aurum to get new watchstrap and 80th birthday card for Umberto. Liz to osteopath and babysitting as she has school meeting tomorrow. Enjoyed 4 programmes on Dark Ages art an age of light. Victoria Wood programme.

Victoria Wood

Whole day at St George's cathedral Southwark rehearsing for the ordination of Bishop Paul Mason.  Mags did a god job in the morning but Canon Alan was just too much. He loves himself and wastes too much time. Some comments were inappropriate in front of children. Good music choices by Paul. The diocesan choir are cliquey. Had tea outside the Imperial war museum and showed Liz the peace garden.  Vespers and Mass for Corpus Christi with Canon Christopher. Loved the Victoria Wood tribute.Long phonecall to Peter Stevens and agreed to support the Kent schools day on July 4th. Jerry indicated that safeguarding applies to emails so have to use the Catenian one for the church! Steak for dinner.
