Set off to go to Whitechapel idea store to be interviewed by Zara but she cancelled so the plan to visit the boys fell away. However I really enjoyed Richard Hall's playing at Wallbrook. He included Walton, Parry, Vaughan Williams and Howells with Vivaldi, Handel and Vierne  - an excellent programme. Prepared Celtic prayers for next Friday and watched Australian Come dine with me. To Brook Green for annual servers dinner. We sat at round tables with no top table so we enjoyed Fr Andrew and Fr Philip's company. Archbishop Peter Smith spoke well especially as lots of youngsters there. Good meal too. 

To Clapham Picturehouse to see RSC production of Richard II with David Tennant. Fantastic acting and production of a wonderful play. To St Stephen Walbrook to see religious art. Particularly liked scuplures, mosaics and Peter Webb paintings. I sent emails to Metro and Standard about reviews of Dame Edna. Popped into St Edmund where I was told they were just closing and St Mary Woolnoth. It's strange that the spirituality centre is so unwelcoming. To Southwark cathedral shop but no true Advent calendars - the Queen had been there today.  Sat in Brixton library and then to  Lambeth town hall for interfaith forum event. Networking. Fr Adrian McKenna there and the 3 from one Faith foundation. Malik and arranged to meet at Streatham mosque at last! Home to masterchef.            

More reading and swam 28. To St Stephen Wallbrook for Simon Hogan's recital. Met Caroline Archbold on London Bridge and Martin Ball was at the recital. Simon is organ scholar at St Paul's and very impressive. Bowen, Bairstow, Bach and Elgar sonata. Reading Eliza Griswold's book and watched Gypsy wedding. Turned off the Schubert Stabat mater - bit fed up with so much Schubert on Radio 3. Practice went well and covered all the territory. Got petrol at Tescos - several garages closed.

Swam 36! Liz to Glyn Close for furniture and curtains. To St Stephen Walbrook for excellent recital by Timothy Wakerell of St Paul's cathedral. Bach, CPE Bach, Gade, Mendelssohn and Saint-Saens. Then to St Vedast and Goldsmiths Hall for excellent display of modern silver using different techniques and a copy of the ancient silver bowl from Leicestershire. Home by 3 so spent an hour in the back garden getting rid of the compost heap and putting up a new border fence and tidy up. To practice - only 4 there. To Adrian's for end of term party - lovely food and wine and met Laszlo from Budapest.
