I played a rather unusual interlude on Aus der Tiefe by Henrik Andriessen, Willan on Southwell and Pachelbel fugue on "When Jesus stood at the cross". 2  practised for Holy Week and I practised Bach and Gigout Toccata. Fr Paul was pretty scathing about the Bishop and suprised when I praised Justin Welby. It seems Fr Leon is area Dean and will be looking after us but he has not been in touch with Paul. Later Fr Andrew said Fr Leon is a good singer and loves music. Liz was serving at the rite of election so I changed the bolt on the door in the hall which took about an hour - there is always one screw which will not come out! I watched Indian summers which is excellent. Went to Lent group at the vicarage. Nobody was introduced and we spent 35 minutes reading the chapter so Bridget and I had to leave near the start of the discussion! Adrian and Terence are back from India and we sang Batten and Byrd Civitas sancti. Did the mosaic design and wrote a letter about the hearing aid ...

Played Willan on Caithness and Aberystwyth and Peeters on Aberystwyth. The booklets for Holy week produced and need to sort out psalms as texts are quite different - why? To Greenwich from Clock House. Nobody turned up at 1 for the family walk so enjoyed the visitor centre then to the Painted Hall and chapel of the Old Royal Naval college. Turner and the Sea at the National Maritime Museum was lovely and then saw the new Nelson exhibition. Art at the Queen's House and Morgan cars parked outside. Met Liz at Kent House - she had been to 2 Temple Place. To evensong Byrd 2nd service and Tippett Go down Moses. Adrian has taken some of Alan's vocal scores and I have lent him the index.

Served at 10.30 mass - Byrd 4 part Mass which we had at our wedding 38 years ago. Shortbread in hall with friends. Furious with Paul Moynihan - he is so rude! To Princess Diana playground to meet the family - Bruce and eventually Dennis and AnnMarie. To tea at Whiteleys and an autumnal walk across Kensington Gardens. Fabuolous cruise on the Thames with dinner, wine, singer and dancing all for £75 - living social deal reduction - wonderful views. The last time we saw Tower Bridge on TV David Beckham was carrying the torch in a speedboat. Fantastic! The lights at Greenwich need improving! Lovely cufflinks from Louise!
