August 24

ST Bartholomew. Chat to Ann. Took LIz up to get bus and checked the roundabout where I hit the pavement. There are black and white posts on the roundabout edge but not on the kerb I hit. There is a pedestrian crossing.  To the Garden museum which has a delightful reconstruction of part of Benton End which was an art school in Suffolk. I still think the refurbished Imperial War museum is awful and poorly designed. The exhibition about wartime London is good. Children in war covered a lot of ground but seemed confusing. I walked back through the first rooms but I seem to have missed a corridor to the other rooms. And where are the loos on floor 3? Very badly signposted. Fell asleep twice. Designed painting 3 and registered myself. Only connect, Mastermind, University challenge, Buried with Michael Sheen part 2. Tuesday woke early to the sad news that Harry Bramma had died at the weekendand there will probably have t be an inquest. Put the news on Facebook and contacted Christop...

Disaster

Had a disastrous day. Could not find one hearing aid (it was in the bin), knocked the car against a stupid pavement in the middle of Crystal Palace parade (cannot be fixed before the 26th - the car is juddering and no loan car available before Sept 1 - why pay for this insurance if you cannot have the help you need?) When I got to carers meeting (which was very helpful) my drink container from the cruise fell out of my bag, the top came off and the entire drink hit the carpet! I did get 3 canvases at the Works (the Whitgift centre is a desert) and pay in a cheque at the counter at Nationwide as the machine refused to take it because there was writing on the back of the cheque. Sorry from tomorrow it's Ubers and buses! Liz went to weaving. Tuesday 18th was much better. Rang Honda as back passenger left tyre flat - it had a split. AA breakdown came for the car. To Unacc as potential sponsor came. Marie does seated yoga and exercises - better than Triniti. Had a nice lunch. Chat to...

Only connect, University challenge, Call my bluff. SM prayer and chat.  Tuesday cleaner came for 2 and half hours and did a great jb but she want to come weekly. £60 each time is a lot. Swim. Quiet time read some more Carter and chat to Gail. Picked up Liz from dentist. Tried to send a story to SM. Be 6 and Ades Prom. Inter Alia is a brilliant play and Rosamund Pike won the Olivier award for best actress. NT at home. Sewing Bee.  Sang Faure requiem at Bob Horner’s funeral. Great sermon from Fr John.
