To Jersey

We were all up early and taxi arrived and off to Gatwick for 6 am. Flight at 7.10 arriving 8.10 and Bruce was there to meet us looking well. We picked up the cars Ford Ka very nice and ideal as max is 40mph and most of the time narrow roads and 20mph. To Bonne Nuit beach cafe - a lovley breakfast and great harbour view. Boys enjoyed the beach. We got into the apartments at 1 at La Rocca. Very comfortable and a great view (when you stood up!) We went to 6 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart St Aubin's - organ and small choir, friendly. Priest mentioned Cameron's approval of Catholic Social teaching but I pointed out that he shows no signs of implementing it! Deacon one of 5. Heard about concert for Nepal. Ann-Marie and Dennis arrived from the ferry - a long journey.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
