Up at 7 Uber at 8.05 to East Croydon and straight onto train to Gatwick. Coffee and pastry at Wetherspoons where you can fill flasks. Slight delay on tarmac Easyjet. Smooth flight and picked up car Vauxhall Corsa. Drove to b and b where we stayed before. Alas they are selling it. Picked up Bruce and Emma and back to car hire so Bruce can drive us around. To St Peter's garden centre for tea and lemon meringue pie. Bought calendars excellent choice. Back for rest. To Wildfire grill in town. This is discount month I had melons, steak, profiteroles and cider, Liz had belly of pork. Delicious £55 for both of us. Watched programme on 4 year olds with elderly.
Tuesday showers excellent breakfast. To Jersey Zoo saw Andean bear, keeper talks on macaques, gorillas, orangutans. Gibbon. Madagascar teal , cranes, bats, howler monkey, After lunch Visayan warty pigs, meerkats, reptiles, Kirindy forest lemurs. Komodo Dragon has gone. Coatis. 3rd visit and really enjoyed it.Slept. To Bass and Lobster. £15 3 courses. Excellent soup, black bream with tagliatelle and bread and butter pudding. Superb.

Wednesday glorious day so abandoned plan for museum.Nick Cabot the organist at Trinity church for 30 years rang so we went there and enjoyed playing the organ which is an Oldshaw. I had brought Moore and also Walton and Preston.Archimondrel cafe closed so to Ransomes for coffee and cake. Then Eric Young orchid foundation gorgeous orchids in profusion. To St Mary's where Frank Ward's wife came. Sweet 2 manual harder action than Trinity and a very high stool but enjoyed it. To Pizza Romana no Emma as 4 kittens were born. Excellent pizza and turamisu.
Thursday to Jersey museum where we saw Janet who runs our b and b. Enjoyed the new 80s section, story of Jersey and merchant's house. Coffee and cake. To maritime museum lots of fun pressing buttons, sketching and liberation tapestry. Diana boat that helped evacuate from St Malo. To The Green Olive delicious pork but needed more staff.
Last day to Archirondel Driftwood cafe for coffee and sketched. Grouville parish hall to see part of Celtic board of coins. The church has an electronic replaced by Miranda which automatically plays hymns! Yuk! Lots of carpet. Floor was being sanded. Back to the house to pick up a lead left behind. To Longueville manor hotel superb 3 course lunch but it took 2 hours and a long wait for the bill. Lovely gardens. To St Catherine's woods for a nice walk very pretty. Bruce to garage to get his car. We drove to garden centre for cream tea car checked and returned at airport. Flight at 8.50 landed very early and got train straightaway and cab which came the long way. Home 10.30 and unpacked. A great week
