Sunday

The music today was Saint-Saens whose centenary of death it is. The Swan and Symphony No.3. We sang Christ has no body but yours Ogden and The Call RVW. It was amazing it sounds as good as it does as choir practice was interrupted with the news that somebody had driven into the back of my car parked outside the front entrance. Several people saw it! The car is due for service tomorrow so let's hope the dent in the boot is all there is to worry about. Fortunately 2 of the servers were crossing the road and stopped the young lady who waited. I will ring her later. I could have done without this 10 minutes before the service! Lots of rain today. I was watching Bill Oddie's top 10 birds and top 10 hates and surprisingly the beautiful swan is not liked! They can be very aggressive. Watched second half of Andrea Chenier. Spoke to Paul Courtney's father and he agreed to pay for the damage as she has a £600 excess on insurance. Carole confirmed she came round the corner too fast and my car was pushed forward so she cannot have been parking. Antiques roadshow was a repeat but enjoyed it. Programme on Malcolm Arnold and The Bridge on the River Kwai suite. John Wilson conducting Royal Academy orchestra. We got hooked on Call my agent and watched 3 episodes.

Monday SMITF, Blackfriars. Car serviced. Washed carpets - quite exhausting! Colette's meeting - she is away. Cornhill Jonathan Bunney. Balham circle chat about strategic plan. Call my agent.

Tuesday Sarah came to get garden tools we no longer need. SMITF Blackfriars. Henry came and played snap, track, Quack quack. Liz to chiropodist and  I did Post Office and got ionised water, string and gaffer tape. Took Henry's coat back and used loo. What a mess! To Mitcham and LMP guy (who fixed car before) said car would cost more than £600 tailgate and bumper so rang Paul. He immediately said this was a "smart claim" and said he had been an investigator. Neither of us liked his tone so we will definitely take it to insurance and I rang them. Wimbledon. Zoom Faiths for the climate on action. Not many there but 2 useful contacts. Superb 1982 Rosenkavalier from the Met with Dame Kiri, Tatiana Troyanos, Judith Blengen, Kurt Moll and Pavarotti! Paul rang with details - he offered me £600 but I said No.

Wednesday Submitted photos to garage for claim. SMITF, Blackfriars, St John's. Set off for Upper Beeding via Sainsbury's to change purchases and get a plant for Sue Albery. Arrived at 6 Henry the border terrier. Delicious dinner.
