The scone recipe taken up by Mary Berry for all NT properties! Then to Pratsham Grange open for charity NGS beautiful and delicious cake. Bought some plants and we bought lavender and had lavender ice cream at the Lavender farm on way home. A most delightful day! Lovely evensong Sumsion in G, O pray for the peace of Jerusalem, O Lord increase my faith. St John Upper Norwood. Summer concert Vienna Phil with Nelsons.

Monday SM S and B. Liz went to serve at Bruce Kent's funeral. Funeral at Caterham. I don't think I will play the 3 Lefevre-Wely Versets again but I warmed to Elevation. Interesting choices as they are really jolly pieces! Benjamin Seifert sang beautifully! He is a top lawyer. On the way home I decided to visit places I usually drive by! Whyteleafe recreation ground tea and lemon drizzle cake and a lovely view. Sanderstead pond moorhen family and ducks in green pea soup! Belmont Vespers. Balham chat. Patrick rather put his foot in it by asking us if we had been at the cathedral! John Thing rang about a reunion in the autumn. Fell asleep in lounge hence awake in the night. The whole Addiscombe episode is coming back again. The cathedral situation must be resolved one way or the other.

Tuesday SM S and B. Swam 20. Eating breakfast in the garden my denture snapped so took it to the dentist and ring tomorrow to see if it can be fixed. To Croydon University hospital chapel now a worship space for tea and chocolate cake. Met the Pentecostal chaplain, Bill O'Doherty, Sister Sheila, Debra, a spiritual director friend and several others. 3 from the Art group were there. Sent email to Paul Moynihan asking for a decision as soon as possible. Wimbledon.

Wed swam 20. SM, S and B. Liz tested positive so did not go to Guys. Tried to find somebody to got to Bridge theatre but eventually the booking was changed to next Wed. I am tired! Royal Academy then National gallery to see Ingres and Picasso. Superbloom at Tower of London is so lovely but it is a trek over Tower Bridge to Bridge theatre which is poorly signposted. Booking changed to next Wed so we can both go to see the play. I wonder why more places don't provide phone charging points and thus get more business! The time has come to set up a Salon des refuses. Every year the Royal Academy summer exhibition infuriates me. 406 a white board with signatures £90.000. The violin is good but this collection is frankly pathetic. I will not submit paintings again. Being a friend for many years it seems to have lost its value. £135 a year. For what?? The whole thing is pretentious and vastly over-priced. A lady said she would like to see more people's art and she did not realise how much you have to pay to submit work.

The walk from the Tower to the Bridge theatre is long because you cannot cross the road on Tower Bridge! The signposting to the theatre is non-existent so it is a trek. The box office agreed we could change the booking by phoning the agent. I eventually did this at a coffee shop at London Bridge. Wimbledon. Who do toy think you are. Bojo losing ministers.

Thursday Bojo resigns! Swam. SM and S . To Sainsburys to get croissants and miniature pink rose for Liz. She seemed quite down yesterday. Collected denture no charge. Art and finished the protea. Cheltenham prayers with Judith Hyde. Churches trust Cornwall churches. To Spitalfields studios. Whitechapel station is transformed with lifts! So pleased to see Nelson and had a long chat to Chris. Their work is excellent. Came back to Crystal Palace. I was tired.
