 Sat up at 7.30 to do RSPB birdwatch. Carrion crows, feral pigeons, collared doves, 1 blackbird. Where are all the small birds I saw last year? The cat was about. SM, S and B. Hurtado on storms. Be not afraid.  Feb music list done. Liz to Iceland and I popped into Thornton Heath sustainability hub and had meatless cottage pie. Part of Cosi from ROH. Read The Tablet. To Mass and played Moore, JSB and Cook. The loop is working. Berni Excell is coming to Caterham on a couple of Sundays!To St OSwald Norburyfor Triptych singers concert which was good. Odd that Richard Mander played Thalben-Ball Elegy in a Christmas season programme! More of Cosi.

Sunday For Candlemas Played Andrew Moore's Light of the nations, Bach prelude and John Cook Paean on Divinum mysterium. Sang Shera Nunc dimittis. Couple of roads closed en route so went via Warlingham. Church so cold I took two pages away in the Cook and also Jerry requested another verse in the last hymn (I thought I was right and had just shut the hymnbook!). Just a minute on radio. Monday swim. To Louise's and picked up Sean from school. It was nice to see 4 of the teachers. They all liked their presents and the paintings so I was very pleased about that. We had a discussion about my birthday weekend. Home to watch Only connect and University challenge.

Tuesday swim and to Garden centre to get bulb fibre. Liz got tickets for the Sunday concert at Aldeburgh which hed been missed! Also parking for all the concerts. I took Fernanda to Kent House and we ate at Victoria cafe where we met Robert Rose who goes to organ recitals! The Royal Academy Spanish exhibition was just right. Sorollas, Goyas and El Grecos and lots from Mexico! We had tea and a cookie then walked to Haymarket and buses so she could see Trafalgar Square and the Houses of parliament. Back by 6. Could not get into zoom on proportional representation. Finished A terrible kindness by Jo Browning Wroe - Louise warned me how moving it is! Great British menu started.

Wed saw Dr Gray. She will do letter for hearing test and referral for second opinion on knee at C and W. Xray of left foot showed nothing so carry on with exercises. Swim and it was quiet. Thursday Feb 2 Candlemas. SM, S and B no swim. To art and started 2 cards. To Beckenham crem for funeral of David Dibbs. Several organists present we had recordings finishing with Widor Toccata. Grandchildren read poems. Sylvia did the tribute. They met at Exeter and had been married 55 years. First date was in an organ loft! David from Cornwall and rapidly rose to head. Reception at the Elmtrees and we had scones with Cornish clotted cream. Put crib away. Found more drawing paper (large sheets!) David came to ask about pianos. The mistress is funny and sad. Friday swim and UNACC. LIz to osteopath. Meeting on zoom with Leonie and Penny about Trees4Croydon. Would I lie to you, Grayson Perry's Full English is excellent. Rest of Don Quixote from Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Sat SM, S and B. St John's coffee concert well attended. Finally found out that my friend is called Michael. Had a nice chat to Jim. Andrew Watson piano played all from memory. Liszt, Schubert, Cateen and Lecuona and 3 fish items. Introduced and explained well. It is good that Bromley music trust is supporting adult players as well as the young. Delicious cake. Started using loop for TV until my hearing is tested. Played Peeters at Mass and much enjoyed. To Fairfield hall LMP with Sheku playing Bloch so movingly and Mendelssohn. Conductor very good. Not a very large audience alas. Friends LMP bar 2 ladies join our table dump their stuff and move to the next table. One sees my crosses and says "Are you a minister?" "No I'm an orgnaist". She is unimpressed - clearly I am lower in her pecking order despite the shortage of organists! David Jason tribute.

Sunday Liz made bread. Played Peeters Ciacona and Canzona. Sang Christ has no body by Ogden. Nice chat to Jerry. First half of NT The boy with two hearts. Liz to servers practice. Monday SM, S and B. Woke 6.30 a.m. again. Swim and chair aerobics. Liz to post office. Watched the rest of NT at home The boy with two hearts. Very well done by a cast of 6.
