Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000!

Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow. Petition passed 1000! 

Monday woke at 6 and 9.15. Chat to Ann. Swim and aerobics. Barbara's Mum had died last week - she is Jamaican. CMF zoom on the situation with Tim Livesey and Chris Doyle. Peaceful principles - I missed it last week! Only connect and University challenge.

Tuesday up at 8.15. Parked at NJ and Liz went to pack medals for the Guild. To the King's chapel of the Savoy and a warm welcome from Philip Berg. Lovely console so comfortable to play. I played Harris Procession which I played at St George's chapel Windsor. Dale Eaton came and took photos - he attends the chapel. Frank Millington used to sing there. Communion service using the prayerbook. Lovely stained glass and LVO plaques. Sheila, Adrian and I ate at Watch House at Somerset House. To St Clement Danes where I played Walton Spitfire prelude. Huge demo outside the High Court for Julian Assange. The Temple church - at first we were locked out but I banged on the door with my stick! I played Moore Nobilmente and Charles was very helpful. GTB Elegy had already been played twice! Watched modern version of Coppelia and Art of America. 

Wednesday swam 12. To Kent House and train was a little late. Rain. Walked from 24 to Parliament gates. Peter and Kate and Magda there. We did Stations of the cross ecological version. I left at 1 to go to the cathedral. 7 at the group useful discussion on the name. Laudate Deum. Mike Parsons came for the first time. Rita got annoyed with Alan! Evensong from Queen's college Oxford. SM quiet hour. Bread for the wordl and first session on George Herbert was excellent. Cath spoke very well indeed. Worked on jigsaw! 

Thursday woke 5 a.m. and 9.15 so no swim. Drawing at art. Working on presenting the petition tomorrow. 1800 have signed. It's a sad day. Heating boiler fixed and 20 degrees. Sean came and put back the covers. Cheltenham prayer and discussed IFN. The official announcement of closure came out and decided to present the petition on Monday. To picturehouse by car (very wet and just missed bus). NT Vanya Andrew Scott a tour de force. That final speech when he started to cry! Wow! The apprentice in Jersey. Update on petition nearly at 2000. 

Friday woke 9.30 after a restless night and back ache. Sunny. Not going to Unacc. Nice reply from Rosie at Dept of the community. Updated the petition with James. Passed 2000! Start of the Nazareth retreat online. 

Saturday up early frost on car, got train at 8 and then DLR from Bank. Met Louise Sugden. Arrived at 9 at Royal foundation of St Katharine. A lovely day with the Nazareth community. Richard, Cath and Angela. Met lots of people I had seen on zoom. Delicious lunch. A surprise Andrew Carter got us doing watercolours! Left at 5 and waited for bus. Mass at St Mary and St Michael. Fr Keith sings a lot. Organist a bit off. No bus so walked to Shadwell DLR and Northern line. Home by 8. 

Sunday played Bach O Lamm Gottes unschldig and Lasceux Fugue in G minor. We sang Webbe Agnes Dei. Wierd sermon. Worked on letters for petition hand in. 2200 have signed. I cooked. Contacted Jacamo about a statement - somebody has impersonated me. Call the midwife, Antiques roadshow and Pottery throw down.

Monday chat to Ann. More work on petition letters. Liz to doctor and shop about washing machine. I was early at Marsham Street. All went well and lots of photos taken. 2 young ladies came to collect the petition. Good to see Ibraham and Nagase again. We then went to Mary Sumner house to IFN HQ for tea and biscuits with Harriet. Great to see Ashley and Leo. All are very grateful for our support. Mr Gove has had 100s of letters and plenty of comments. 88 bus to Tate Britain. Sargent and fashion superb paintings. Home FTIC meeting not on zoom after all. CCT Surrey churches. Peaceful principles was very good. Quiz night. Art of America part 2. Kevin did a good video of today - he was minister in 2008 at St Mark's Yeoville!!

Tuesday woke late. Liz was sick last night. Swim. To quiet time. Petition at 2500. Nice chat to Clare.
