Half term.

Sunday played at Riddlesdown. Willan Fugal trilogy no 1, Ireland intrada, Moore on Moscow and Knight on Wiltshire. Brain of Britain and working on flowers jigsaw. Wonderful Bach by candlelight at St John Upper Norwood which attracted over 100. Beautiful singing by David McGregor and Ben Bearklian-Carter and playing from James Gough, Ali Baumann and Angelika-Rose Stangl. Young musician semi- final.

Monday Henry came and he spoke to Ann and took him to Bell House Dulwich for touch typing course. Liz went to printing workshop and we had lunch at Gail's. Quiz night when I got back from Craigmyle lecture at National gallery by the esteemed director Sir Gabriele Finaldi. I asked a question about why the text of the Angelus was not put next to the Millet painting. We can’t assume people know the Christian story. The director said it should have been on display! Several people thanked me for asking the question.

Tuesday woke too late to swim but to Unacc and Marie was good. Liz came to lunch. Took Henry to Bell House as Ann Marie had plumber coming. Meditation.

Wed swim, practise at Beck and saw Robert Cooper tuning piano. To clergy house for meeting with Fr Hugh and James planning next year. Liz went to Anerley for Fr Joseph's one year in the parish celebration.

Thursday Henry came no art any way. We went to see the Hokusai Fuhi prints at Dulwich gallery - pretty busy. Got food at Cook.

FRiday Liz to St Thomas's for injections. Henry came finished Yorkshire jigsaw and started a big one.

Clergy supper and outreach at Coulsdon

40 lengths on Thursday and Friday. Busy at work with survey. Fell asleep during "The history of Christianity" part 1 on BBC4. Friday to Catenian clergy supper - 70 at Addington Palace golf club but not many Norwood brothers or clergy. Picked up Fr Sixtus at St Chad's and Fr Tim Dean from the cathedral at East Croydon which was very busy because of rain! Fr Tim spoke well and enjoyed the evening which was too long thanks to a raffle. Good meal - roast beef. Home at 11.45! Woke early and lie-in - Liz fed up as I was out again this time for St Andrew's day on outreach at the very attractive Holy Trinity centre, Wallington where Freda Curtis's funeral was held. An interesting discussion in small groups and useful. Home to find a match on so parked outside Hyacinth's and tried to find reason for water overflowing onto back roof - baffling!

Monday swam 20. To mosaic and finished Sean only needs grouting now. Tai chi we stood for 30 minutes while Tony wittered on and on! Got petrol and went back to Norwood Junction to ask about ym mobile phone which disappeared yesterday. Got home and emptied boot of car and there it was! What a relief! Phoned up about Catenian cups and they are ready. Practised Panufnik.  Really enjoyed Werther live from ROH at Clapham Picturehouse. JoyceDiDonato and Vittorio Grigolo very moving and Pappano superb. Horrendous journey home from Balham to Clapham Junction then to East Croydon no trains so walked to Whitgift centre and 75 bus to Selhurst to get the car!
