Tina Bagatti

 Sept 2 swam 20 pool was quiet. A delightful visit to Tina and she liked the flowers and card. Her flat is lovely. Ended up giving us pasta and salami and coffee. To Halfords to get caps for tyres. Fell asleep watching Call my bluff and catching up on Sewing Bee! Painting the Psalms picture listening to Rachmaninov Piano concerto 3 form last night's Prom and Berlin Phil playing Enigma variations brought tears to my eyes then Tchaik 4. I spent some time sending emails about the interfaith event only to find that they were not sent. I thought tonight would be mu first Westminster Justice and peace commission meeting at Farm St but Anita knew nothing about it. I can't go to the study day so no idea when my first meeting will be!

Clergy supper and outreach at Coulsdon

40 lengths on Thursday and Friday. Busy at work with survey. Fell asleep during "The history of Christianity" part 1 on BBC4. Friday to Catenian clergy supper - 70 at Addington Palace golf club but not many Norwood brothers or clergy. Picked up Fr Sixtus at St Chad's and Fr Tim Dean from the cathedral at East Croydon which was very busy because of rain! Fr Tim spoke well and enjoyed the evening which was too long thanks to a raffle. Good meal - roast beef. Home at 11.45! Woke early and lie-in - Liz fed up as I was out again this time for St Andrew's day on outreach at the very attractive Holy Trinity centre, Wallington where Freda Curtis's funeral was held. An interesting discussion in small groups and useful. Home to find a match on so parked outside Hyacinth's and tried to find reason for water overflowing onto back roof - baffling!

Werther

Monday swam 20. To mosaic and finished Sean only needs grouting now. Tai chi we stood for 30 minutes while Tony wittered on and on! Got petrol and went back to Norwood Junction to ask about ym mobile phone which disappeared yesterday. Got home and emptied boot of car and there it was! What a relief! Phoned up about Catenian cups and they are ready. Practised Panufnik.  Really enjoyed Werther live from ROH at Clapham Picturehouse. JoyceDiDonato and Vittorio Grigolo very moving and Pappano superb. Horrendous journey home from Balham to Clapham Junction then to East Croydon no trains so walked to Whitgift centre and 75 bus to Selhurst to get the car!
